What just happened? Error opening AB after today's update

After this evening's update, this error pops-up when trying to run it. It worked perfectly until now.
I tried reinstalling it and the same problem happens.
Anyone else with this problem? Any ideas?
Please help, I can't use AB at all.

I got this error (or similar) after using Paranoid traderun. I can post a screenshot if it happens again in case of need.
 
Do I really need to upgrade to windows 10 or reinstall my windows? I paid a lot of money and no support is given.
Re-compile the updater, it stopped working and I haven't changed anything, I run x64 with 4.5.1 framework installed.

I followed the installation guide again and even went as far as installing IIS7 to check a possible solution I've found regarding 32bit applications. Nothing worked. I can't explain other than the new update version has some bad config/compiling in it.
 
Maybe I should ask my 80 euros back since i changed nothing to my end, AB updated, no longer works and no one bothers to offer any kind of support.
 
It does work --> it need to be an error on your end.
You don't provide enough information so someone could help you.
What Operating System do you use(Win7, Win8.1 64bit, Win10 32bit...etc.)
Did you installed something before this error happend. Did you changed anything on your computer? New hardware/software etc.
1. Reinstall Glyph, ONLY Glyph! If that doesn't work you might consider to do step 2
2. Reinstall Archeage & Glyph. (Do NOT reinstall it in the same folder structure)
3. Delet everything from archebuddy settings, login data etc. (You can save your login data first with the Export to CSV button in archebuddy, save it in a folder you won't delet)
4. Disable your antivirus program, disable windows defender. Set the archeage.exe to run always as admin. Run archebuddy always as admin.
5. Try injection method 1 and try injection method 2
6. Reinstall Net Framework 4.5.1 (Deinstall it --> Restart Computer --> Install it --> Restart Computer --> Start archebuddy)
7. Post again a screenshot if you get the same or a similar error. Also the Log information would be nice from Main or the plugin that is causing this error. If you are able to.
8. If archebuddy starts and you are not able to get into your accs just select the Server and the Char manual.

You might reinstall it with the archebuddy.exe in my attachment. It's the orginal, I didn't changed anything.

Also you could have just read a bunch of threads in the support forum and tried those fixes out first, because it's nothing new I'm writing in this post.

I run Win 8.1 pro x64 (I mentioned previously i run x64)
ArcheAge runs perfectly with glyph, but as I said, AB doesn't even want to load. I mean it checks if a new build is available, after it doesn't find any newer one, before loading the AB main window, i get that error. AB doesn't load.
1) I'll give it a go, even though AA runs fine with glyph.
2) More inclined to reinstall the whole operating system --> that's how bad things look ... and it's a day's work and total exhaustion given how many things I have installed and set up.
3) Tried that, as I said: tried clean install new folder. Can't export anything since I can't even open AB.
4) No good, doesn't work. Tried it. I use Avast btw and don't use windows defender.
5) Again, I think you haven't read what I wrote: can't open AB ... archebuddy, not archeage.
6) Already did that. Even uninstalled all Visual C++ frameworks and reinstalled only the 2013 one x86 one. Still broken. Then added the x64 one also. Broken. Reinstalled .net 4.5 ... still nothing, repaired it, nothing.
7) I've sent the log to Out but he never responds. Here's the log: http://tempsend.com/4608DA57BF (not sure how you can read that, tried many programs even a special one for reading all known types of logs - none work reading this kind of log)
8) Again, as I said in my first post - AB doesn't start. But with this setting I've run AB since day 1.

Really? You're telling me that I could have read some previous support threads because it's nothing new? This IS new. Maybe if you read what I wrote you would have known that. Have you been on the forums lately and seen that I am the one who gave a lot of advice and support to others and I'm the one who tested a lot of things and gave Out logs when the Hackshield disconnects problem happened.

Of course I've searched the forums, but I think you haven't bothered to actually read what I wrote, because you wrongly understood it is a problem of not launching an archeage session through archebuddy, when in fact archebuddy doesn't want to load at all.

If I haven't changed one thing on my client side or config, it must be the new build. Right after updating it started giving that error, so most likely there's an issue with how the new build was compiled. Maybe he didn't put "any CPU" or did something that made the new build incompatible with windows 8.1 . I remember people saying it's incompatible with windows 10, so that wouldn't be far fetched.
I need to know so I don't put a shitload of effort into backing-up everything, reinstalling everything from scratch, a day's work, only to find out it didn't fix the problem because it wasn't on my end. But for that I need some basic communication from the developers or someone close to them. Meanwhile, I'm loosing patron time on a dozen accounts, time and money.

ab runs perfect to one of my pc with win 8.1 x64. hmm try to deactivate the antivirius you have and download again the updater and also check if defender is running cause i have see pc with after market antivirius and the defender were running. also try to install net framworks all one by one 32 and x64 and all the visual studios from 2005 and after i think. give a try you have only to lose 10 mins of your time. i am telling this cause as we speak i run AB on 4 machines (win 7,8,8.1, and win 10 last preview todays build 10532) and all run good

Thanks. Good to know it runs okay on 8.1. I tried that yesterday. I only use Avast, defender is shutdown since forever. The thing is, I can't uninstall .NET 4.5 in order to install 2.0, 3.0, 3.5, etc because I've ran: Dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup /ResetBase in order to save space in the WinSxS Folder some 6 months ago for my SSD. Saved some 4-6 Gb I think; and this command disables the ability to uninstall individual updates prior to running that command. When running .net 4.5 installer and selecting uninstall, it says i can't uninstall it from there and must uninstall the proper windows update. I found it, but it's like i said above. I could however repair it and it worked. Doesn't make much sense because it worked before but oh well.
I guess my dreaded fear of having to rebuild everything from scratch comes true. Oh well, even people get struck by lightning, why wouldn't machines get freak failures?

no need to unistal 4.5 just run the installer from others frameworks btw i dont think you can install net 2.0. also i think there is from microsoft a netframework repair utility.
 
well, did try that before with 3.5 but keeps saying "no need to install, a newer version (4.5) is already installed."
yeap, tried the framework repair utility too, checked all frameworks and all were fine (OK - working fine). also when trying to install 4.5, since i already had it installed, i had the option to repair, which i did like 5 times, like i said in prior post.
 
Try to delet your cache datas and temp datas.
C:Windows\TEMP
C:Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Temp
C:Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Cookies
C:Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files

C:Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\MozillaFirefoxProfilesyq9bmjuz.defaultCache
C:Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\GoogleChromeUser DataDefaultCache
delet everything in those folders if they do exist
