If you close wow after a update is release, you are forced to download it before they allow you to log back

change the name of "wow64.exe" to anyname u want , and run the "wow.exe" instead " World of Warcraft Launcher.exe" . then you won't be patched by the launcher.

they actually did a force patch today by disconnecting people and notifying them a patch had been released via WOW(non battle.net text box) then directed you to open battle.net to get the patch.
