WoW blacklisted

I am trying to run WoW on my macintosh computer and my IT department has somehow blacklisted the application. Now I know I can't run a bot on a mac, but I would like to play on it normally. This community seems to have a crapload of savvy computer techs, and I was hoping someone might know a way that I can get around my IT's blacklisting. Please let me know if there is any info that I could provide that might help.

Where are you getting stuck?
Are you using the Battle.net launcher? Can it get Online and connect to Battle.net?
Can you launch WoW.exe?

Screenshots of errors please.
Any useful .log files in [DRIVE]:\Path\To\World of Warcraft\Logs\ ??

blacklisting

I have attached a screenshot of the blacklisting window.

I can run and connect to Battlenet with no problems. It closes the WoW application when I click on play in the battlenet launcher, but battlenet stays running. Also, I have tried starting WoW from the application (avoiding the battlenet launcher) and it also fails to start WoW. It both instances, the above window appears.

There are no files in my /World of Warcraft/logs folder.

World of Warcraft was so successful that they were assigned "well known port numbers" 3724, 1119 TCP and UDP protocols. This means that anyone with just a tad experience in networking can block these ports, which will result in your situation... unable to play WoW because the routers won't allow traffic that connect through those specific ports.

If you want a work around, there is no easy solution - one method would be hiring a VPN (Virtual Private Network). My university blocks all types of games and other activities, and I use a VPN to work around their security. The DOWNSIDE to an VPN; It will be slower and you may have lag issues because of the headers and protocols itself (tunneling uses a lot of bandwidth).

Are these port numbers on the computer? Because my issue occurs at home as well (well away from the University network). So it is closed even on my home network and home router. It has to be something running on my computer and I just can't seem to find it.

They might be doing this through the antivirus program, try disabling it.

Could also be something as simple as application name wow.exe. At least I know on Windows from working in IT at I am able to block an application with our Computer Manage system (SCCM or Altiris some examples) I can block a computer that has our client on it from launching specifically named applications, such as in labs had blocked Facebook Messenger.
