Would botting on a private server put my account on retail at risk?

Pretty much what the title says. Would botting on a private server endanger my main account on retail? I´m thinking about warden being active when the battlenet client is running and online etc. If thats not the case because for example warden is only running when wow is connected to a blizzard realm server could someone who knows whats up explain why it is safe?
At the moment I am not willing to put my main-account at risk but I want to level a char on a private server.

Ah thats a shame, thanks for the answer. Seeing the bot is profile based I thought it was more of a framework which led me into this wrong believe..
