[WORK IN PROGRESS] Garrison - Followers

Would be nice if it could switch characters, such as being able to logon to each character and send out followers, then rinse repeat sometime later to send collect them and send out again. Possibly linked with a relogger.

This can be done with HBRelog/Professionbuddy, but to be viable, we would need working Followers Plugin/Botbase, right?

On the question - As long as you can deal with the GUI, the followers logic doesnt need to be very complex in the start.

Having all the Warlords of Draenor Follower Guide - Guides - Wowhead in hands and checking which Ability we have available vs the current Spell

Checking the level of the follower vs the order mission, then proceeding missions with not above follower's one but not too low level of course.

Having priority or VIP list on some followers is a great idea - like leveling the Scavenger followers ahead, for the extra 200% Resources bonus etc.

Another option for powerleveling followers could be if we have some lvl 100, which could sucessfully boost some lowbies with the 10-20k XP missions, having 3 slots, but 1-2 Spells for counter onlyl These missions could cap to 100% with only 1-2 lvl 100 followers and we could take a boosted follower for free.

Its just a few ideas, which could be common sence for some people, but still.

Can't be done. A follower who is 1 level below the level of the mission only gets half XP. A follower that is 2 or more levels below the level of the mission gets no XP at all.

You can use the 100s to boost lowbies by joining them on low level quests. But those give a couple hundred XP, never a couple thousand.
Also; a follower that is 2 levels above the mission level boosts just as much as a follower that's 9 levels over the mission level. You don't need 100s to boost lowbies.

Wrong, read hotfixes/patch notes again. 1-2 levels lower than mission get 50% of xp, 3 AND MORE levels lower get 10% XP, so get level 90 follower boosted on a 10k mission and he will get 1k xp.
 
Thanks for the feedback and ideas. Feel free to share any new ideas or thought that could come up.

Thought I would keep you guys posted on the advancement.
For now the API to get access to the missions and followers is nearly functional enough to have the bot get all completed quest and use a simple logic to complete all 100% success available missions.
 
--- Update ---

The project has been moved from a plugin to a botbase.
The bot is functional as of now and can turn in and start missions based on a simple all countered/superior level logic.
The bot is also aware of the buildings and shipment in you garrison which will soon allow it to collect them and start new work orders.
 
well there are these addons: Garrison Mission Manager - Garrison - World of Warcraft Addons - Curse and Master Plan - Garrison - World of Warcraft Addons - Curse

works extremely well. All I do is click all the 100% missions. if HB could just click thru that interface it would work extremely well for leveling, since the hardest part is actually being in the garrison and online. this way we could just stay online all night doing missions. of course I'm sure the same logic can also be built into the botbase, but they seem to have already done the hard work of choosing the teams with highest chance of success

Bot can do much more intelligent stuff. Like optimize multimissions setting min % for win, prio xp/loot whatever and assign followers just for those types.

The botbase must stay independent of an external addon, at least that's our point of view for now.

Indeed we can do pretty smart stuff with the bot and we are not limited to running a calculation in the wow interface.
Right now the calculations are done by the bot and not in game, fastest and will allow us to use some cool stuff through external libraries that might not be possible as an addon.
In the case of a boom in the number of followers in the near future, then the addons as coded right now won't be able to produce good results(bruteforce approach).

A private beta has already started, unfortunately it is full for now to ensure every possible bug to be caught (for now only 2 minors one have been reported in more than 24 hours).
If everything goes according to the plan, then you should soon be able to see a new beta phase with a wider audience! :)

Added an experimental movement system for the garrison
The results are promising, the bot doesn't get stuck in objects and stays on the road.
It is also able to manage the inside of a level 3 Ally garrison and find the command table.
This will be possible to port this solution for other garrison levels to finally activate the buildings features.
 
Sounds amazing guys. Have been trying to do something similar myself but haven't coded anything for a few years - so got as far as collecting and creating work orders in professionbuddy but that's it.

Would definitely donate for an all-in-one garrison solution plugin/botbase (bonus points if it harvests the mine :P).

You mentioned that it can navigate the Ally garrison, have you got plans to make it uni-faction?
 
I've been waiting for this since WoD Release. :-)
