It can, and yea you will get flagged and banned very, very fast. I'm not even joking. Try it manually for 1-2 hours, you will see yourself currency flagged, even using the timed method to detect corrupted areas.

Vouch this, I have been currency drop when I manually did this with ExileHUD, even I wait/fight in empty area

actualy im doing this for weeks now... i farm like ~10 sets per day and separate from that 50 more fragments u can imagine thats a lot of runs i do that manualy and i didnt get banned or flaged -.-
