Wondering about a few things before I start botting

First of all this is my first post, so I would like to greet everyone here!

I'm planning to start botting on January (don't have money on me right now with all this Christmas fuss). There are some things I'd like to ask more experienced people.

• I plan on running 2-3 bots and having my main account untouched. Could someone please confirm that transferring gold and items between bot account and main account through AH is safe? Or during the banwave my main account is still gonna get banned?
• Is it safe to sell items on RMAH on bot accounts? Could Blizzard possibly link together my banned account with main and other bot accounts through a credit card number (PayPal accounts of course would be different for each Diablo account)?
• How to run multiple instances of Diablo with different IPs? don't care about bot accounts (since they WILL get banned eventually). I'm concerned about my main account. I've read VMWare is no longer safe.
• My rig is rather old (Core2Duo E8400 @ 3GHz, 8GB RAM, GF9800GTX). Anyone knows how many instances at once it could handle?

1 - through AH is safe, as far as banning is concerned, yes. that's just too much trouble tho, everybody just passes the items through trade.
2 - anything is possible.
3 - not sure.
4 - not sure, just test it.

If you are that concerned about your main account, most people here will advise you to avoid botting. The fact is, it's a risk:reward question you have to ask yourself. Most of us bot because this game is actually not that enjoyable, but there is a little bit of money to be had. I myself am also waiting to see what PVP turns out to be in D3. I couldn't be bothered to play the game now, and if I get banned I really could care less. You are not going to get a guarantee from anyone here.
