Is Bossland going to improve the default monk combat routine? Honestly, in its current form it is awful. A monks main form of "mitigation" while questing is the constant healing orbs spawned after killing an enemy. Currently the routine doesn't even step forward after killing an enemy to get the orb. So what the routine does is spam the monk healing spell "efflusion." The problem is twofold: efflusion is so horribly ineffecient that it doesn't even heal through the mobs damage. Secondly, the spell uses so much energy that there is no resource left to attack.
You can quite literally just stand there for 10 minutes fighting the same mob because you just spam heal yourself. With multiple difficult enemies you just spam heal yourself until you die. It's obvious that not much time was spent working on the routine at all as just lowering the % down from 80 to 20 on "when to heal" improved it a lot.
