Windows 8 Warning , Very High CPU usage.

In all games, windows 8 takes about almost twice the amount of cpu% usage compared to windows 7.

w7 wow 34% cpu
w7 HB 8% cpu


w8 wow 73% cpu
w8 HB 11-12% cpu

windows 8 does not have the greatest compatibility with video games just yet.
Thought I would let everyone know this before they decide to upgrade ect.

you might find a few tools/programs to reduce the cpu usage on many things.
but still the compatibility is pretty bad with games.

I hope in the near future there will be many improvements.
Can't wait ! Because it was awesome while I tried it.

Thanks for the info. Probably will shift to Linux before going to Win8. I value my privacy a lot, and Win8's "phone home" 'features' are just unacceptable to me.

dumb post.. either your not running windows 8 on the correct hardware or you have screwed your install up..

unless a complete test(1 of many) of 2000 pcs proving window 8 performs faster when installed on the required hardware is wrong... And your talking to a OEM systems engineer... but i guess i could be wrong.

my botting computers are staying 7 for now .. my laptop i upgraded to 8 and regret it.. every day.

Me, my mom, 2 of my relatives, and 4 of my friends have all said they had the same issue when playing video games.
we all bought windows 8 pro from various places.

I am not like a god expert with computers, but I am smart enough to know how to install an os correctly from scratch.

windows 8 runs great with web browsers, apps, even skype works nice.
its mostly games that we all had issues with.
