Ok, so here's what's happening; Windows 8 must have .NET framework 4.5 installed to run properly, therefore we are unable to remove it. We are told to install 4.0 (which includes all previous frameworks) But we can't because we need 4.5 for our OS too run properly, Which is why we're all getting the crash. What's different in Win8 is that the older version are no longer supplied by default which is needed to run demon buddy. What's needed is to install 2.0 and 3.0. to do this; go to control panel, uninstall programs, add or remove windows features and check the box " .NET Framework 3.5 (includes 3.0 and 2.0)" This will prompt you to download, and install. once finished restart your computer and all windows 8 crash issues a resolved. Have a nice day.

hi,
i really don't know what to do anymore, so i'll quickly explain my problem:
im using windows 8, i got the newest version of DB and used the downloadlinks for .NET framework 4.0 and Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x86). untill then i allways had the "flashing window" bug which made my d3 and DB crash. (booted both in admin-mode and was logged on my account)
then i found this thread and did everything explained by "nickchapelle", and activated .NET framework 3.5, 3.0 and 2.0....but in my case there was no download or reboot needed.
after i changed this demonbuddy won't even start anymore. not even a window opening up, just nothing happens when executing the DB-exe.
i'll post my log to you guys. thanks in advance, quick help would be much appreciated :/
PS.: i also used demonbuddywizard, which said, that it had an error with my Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable. after i uninstalled and reinstalled it, DB still did not work.

I'd like to apologise to the DB community and also sajko for getting your hopes up. The other night I was fiddling around with settings trying to get DB to run on my computer as soon as I noticed that Diablo III didn't crash I immediately went online to share my findings hoping I could get a few people playing their bots asap. Unfortunately instead of crashing it froze and in the background windows was searching for the issue, I selected close probably a second before it would have crashed, therefore I have not found the issue. I decided to look into it again being careful at every step, and here's what I have found.
It is still necessary for the .NET Framework 3.5 (2.0 and 3.0 included) to be selected because Demonbuddy Dependency Installer wont function without doing so.
I'll then run the DemonBuddy Dependency Installer and here's what I get:
According to that, I have the proper .NET 4.0, and it checks for the c++ and downloads the correct version, I installed and it says I'm ready to use DemonBuddy, I should be ready to go, but I still get the crash.
I Run the Dependency installer again and the same exact thing happens. It goes to install the c++, so now I'm assuming that the issue no longer lies with the framework, but with the c++. I'm basically stuck at this point because I've tried everything I could possibly do in terms of getting the bot to work. I went step by step in the instructions including the windowed mode and resolution, FPS cap, everything is exact, and no matter what, i get the crash. I'm not complaining as I understand that we are attempting to use an unreleased OS, but I believe this would at least give a helping hand at resolving where the issue actually lies.
here's my log for the crash:
[15:49:36.481 N] Demonbuddy v1.0.462.95 started
[15:49:43.454 N] Logging in...
[15:49:44.296 N]
