Looking for input on how much performance (CPU/RAM usage), if any, you gained from upgrading to Windows 8. My buddy upgraded too it and swears to runs off way less resources than Windows 7 did.

Just wondering if any botters have upgraded and noticed a difference, thanks :)

I was having Computer Issues last week with a new motherboard, GPU, & Processor so i tried it out on windows 8 and the resources for me was still using about the same and windows 7. I still use windows 7 just because i never trust a new windows software until over a year or 2

It must be the same :)

More looks like that fresh win install is better than old install with tons of garbage :)

Win7 or 8 it doesnt matter as far as DB is concerned.

Simply make sure shit isnt taking up unwanted CPU cycles if its a DB machine. If possible run on an XP machine with everything turned off and just bare bones services needed running.
