Clearly something else is wrong with your setup, because it works for me. I updated from win 7 to win 10 as well.
Maybe try using the beta? That's what I'm running
When the D3 crashed and still is running (displaying the window that it stopped working) right click the d3 process in task manager and select Create Dump file
it should ask for a folder/filename
Then send me the dump file via email - [email protected]
including a link of this thread
You might need to transfer it via some "file" hosting service as the dump might be large
