Doesn't really matter at all. It works the same on both, except you must have DX11 on with Windows 8. So if your graphics card doesn't support Dx11 (i doubt one exists anymore ) you have to use Windows 7. But it's just preference of OS.

I'm on windows 8 with DX11 off currently - No problems .

HB works in dx9 and dx11 under Windows 8 as of 2.5.6519.513

Windows 8 runs everything the same as windows 7.
the only thing different in windows 8 is the theme&layout.
the task manger is different too.

everything else runs exactly the same.
running the bot on windows 8 is not really different than running it on windows 7.

you can use windows 8 and get some slight performance upgrades with various things.
such as starting up, and some other things like web browsers load Quicker with certain things, Security is much better too.
but what you have to keep in mind is your future, that some other games or websites or computer devices might not support windows 8 yet.



Simple answer go for it, even if it doesn't work you can enable compatibility mode.
