Will 4.0 affect botting? | 4.0 tonight

I know that its got talent changes etc but surely the spells will be the same, so for things like gathering and outlands etc will it still be possible to bot?.

Apparently 4.0 is tonight for US, can anyone confirm?


*edit* yeah this sucks for me..im currently lvling a dk and owe a friend like 15k gold lol

I'm back and all this guys talking about 4.0 and stuff
what does 4.0 change ? Is it worth to bot gear ?

As far as im aware, its just talents etc. But yeah.. idk man its confusing to be honest.
 
There have been several threads about usage of honorbuddy/gatherbuddy in 4.x / cataclysm and whether the patch will or will not come can only be said 100% sure if there's a blue post or something.

You never know exactly what they did in a new patch so i'd suggest to just wait and see how things are going. There are always people that directly try to bot again and they will tell you whether you can/should bot or not. =)
 
Theres no comfirmation on 4.0.1 but this tuesdays maintence has being extended so everyone is predicting this will be the new patch, as Dasoul said just try it yourself or wait for other players/devs to report if there is any issues.
 
If you really want to test that, download the PTR and test it. The 4.0 patch is being released in each revision on the PTR, so you will get a good idea of how HB/GB will run on it.
 
Yes the bot will break and all the springs will fall out once 4.0.1 comes around.
 
There will be a patch most likely, wait till tomorrow / wednesday and well know soon enough with messages, My bot doesn't work how come?

if someone is looking at this tread and wants to know if botting tonight, till the servers go down is safe? Yes it is, you'll just get disconnected when they do finally bring them down.
