Why doesn't Blizz use PunkBuster?

I've always wondered. PB is, or at least was, really effective at catching third party software. I've cheated a lot in games like BF2, CS:S, BF:BC2 and BF3, and have lost a dozen accounts on them because of PB. None yet on BF3, though, for some unknown reason. Warden doesn't seem to catch shit all.

WoW is the only game I know of where you won't get perma banned, no questions asked, when you're caught using third party software to cheat. People get unbanned left and right when they actually do. First offense is a 3 day ban only. There's even a guy on the OwnedCore forum that provides an ubanning service. I've been botting more or less since I started playing, the summer 2009, and have been reported at least twice, probably a lot more, and never been banned for it. Only been banned once for goldselling. That's also what people say, that reporting botters is useless. Whenever I'm in Twilgiht Highlands or Uldum I see a ton of botters. It's almost like Blizzard wants us to bot. I don't understand it.

PB is the worst anti-cheat ever, it's shit. Causes you to get kicked 24/7 for "unallowed software" which is really my NVIDA 3D Vision drivers.

VAC is good, but, easy to by-pass.

Also, notice how PB is all for FPSes? Not MMORPGs.

No. APB, an MMO, and Need for Speed use PB too.

not only that, but im pretty sure company's have to pay to use punk-buster for their games. there's no reason for blizzard to pay for a program that isnt properly tuned to what their application does. Warden is built from the ground up FOR WoW, if you disable or turn off warden, then you cannot connect to wow, since they talk to each other the entire time your connected. not only that but warden has the ability to be updated on the fly "while people are playing" so if your using a hack and they update for it, your going to get caught immdately, (not that they ever do push out warden updates while people are playing, but they can) there are tons of things that warden can do that cookie cutter anti-cheat just cant do, not that blizzard uses it now a days, but its still there.

My thoughts on Blizz "wanting people to bot" are things..... if people don't keep circulating things on AH somehow prices will just go skyrocket and all players will be fussy eventually and quit gaming sooner then later. Somehow or another we keep prices lvl (at least on my server) for other gamers. I even go so far as to stop people from having it be too high or low because I want other players to feel like they are getting a good deal out of their time and effort if that's how they choose to play their game. Since I never sell g to people for real money and only use the g I make in game for my own toons, I don't feel that this is doing anyone a discourtesy. Plus, I pay more then most just to run my 4 accounts which by far isn't a lot compared to true botters who might have say 10+ accounts the maintain every month if they buy the time to play with cash instead of with gold to another seller. Blizz gets their money - we get our "money" or real money... whichever... and all is good in the end.

Always hated PB. Was a load of crap... Lots of problems and lets cheaters run wild.

I'm sure Warden could out perform punkbuster.

Modern Warfare 4 hasn't even been announced yet. If you wer'e referring to Modern Warfare (the first one) then yes that had MAJOR PB issues, for example you would be kicked if you had the wrong video card drivers and you'd be kicked for high ping and ughh it was just crap.
