Why does the bot run from you servers. thats backwards

Why is the bot running application critical functions on your servers? Im sure this has been asked before, but im relativ new.
Clearly you dont have the resources to accomdate problems server side, so why have it at all?

Not to mention the fact that all of our computers are likely 10 x faster than 1 of your servers.

I work in IT for a major org 5000+ servers. hence the question. im interested in the answer.

Is this all just for product security?

How many days of outage would have been solved by having everything run local?

I'm trying not to be frustrated, but its hard when service is interupted for the same reason over and over.

It was due to people *****ing the program I believe, but man oh man do I miss the local days, mesh and stop and start problems were so few and far between, I've been here over 3 years now and the current server problems constantly popping up are extremely frustrating, seeing as the pandarian honeymoon period is practically nearly over now.
