Why can't HB run with WoW minimized, but other bots could?

It doesn't run minimized bc when you do that, it lags the client... other bots may support it, but that's why they twitch a lot when you watch them from another computer ... bc they're lagging

I use it in windowed mode, and if I open up other windows like this browser, if just overlaps it. If you really like seeing your desktop image then it could be a problem, but in all honesty, it works fine.

Pirox did it, and I never had a problem with it.
Yet, it should be added as an option for the user to decide if he wants to be minimized with lag, as you say, or just on the background.

With pirox, if I minimized WoW, it would take a lot less memory, that if just overlapped in the background by something.

i run wow on 336x218 on low res with no addons, i dont see the issue;

Does it not use less memory already? It does a lot more than Pirox could do.

I don't care if it runs minimized tbh, BUT that it can't run when you lock windows really bugs the 'shit' outa me. :)

Not knocking anybody as I do understand the reasoning, but since someone created this 'gripe' thread I thought I would add it. I really do not enjoy leaving my PCs all unlocked sometimes.

Today every gamer has at least 4GB of ram...most have 8GB. With 8GB and low graphic settings + ultra small wow window you can run a lot of bot on one machine without any problems.

Anybody who runs that much bots can buy 16GB....it costs nothing.

A lot of pople actually don't know that you can just decrease wow quality by a lot more than just ingame settings.

Check the config.wtf in your wow folder.

Things that easily can be reduced and increase overall performance:

farclip
environmentDetail
shadowTextureSize
terrainLodDist
particleDensity

For example you can reduce farclip(view distance) by just 50% this * [amount of bots] = very good performance increase

well there is a way but you need to have used duel-moniters before,
just drag the wow windows to the other screen place and if you need it back just shift-right click on the task bar and choose move :P

I have 4GB RAM.

My configs are these,

SET farclip "200"
SET environmentDetail "50"
I have no shadowTextureSize
SET terrainLodDist "200"
SET particleDensity "10"

Should I reduce this? Because the settings on WoW are already on Low.

I used to be able to run 3 bots, now I can barely run 2, probably because of all the dust on my computer.
I have a Q6600 @ 2.5Ghz, 4GB RAM and a ATI Radeon X1550, the GFX is probably from 2005, so it sucks, but the rest is fine, I think.
Anyway, thanks for the advice.
