Why can not we get the localization of the navigation data resources.

My guess is there's a concern for the fact that it would make the bot way too easy to pirate.
 
they said the reason was because it was huge, like 30 gigabytes. but still i would want to download it.

30 gigabyte is huge ? Is this the 1980's ? Most hard drives these days are 3 terabytes.
 
Even better I would pay a few bucks just to get the nav mesh. Its a win win for the dev team as they wouldnt need to host such large files since we could do it locally. It works pretty well until we get the mesh issues. Just a thought:)
 
Maybe the bandwidth is an issue... but as soon as the mesh comes out for download this bot becomes pirateble. It would be pretty awful if they dropped the bot because it was no longer profitable because it got pirated too much. The Nav server is inconvenient, but it's better than the alternative imo.
 
That is true Jests, but what do they do with HB? We get the mesh downloaded with that and they somehow make it non pirated? Just curious. Thanks
 
I'm not sure. It could be that they've got some kind of security in place that I don't understand... Or it could also be that WoW appeals to such a wider base that more people buy it which better offsets the cost of pirating. I really don't know, unfortunately. Maybe pirating really isn't an issue.

Don't be naive. It has already been pirated, and easy to DL the pirated version. A simple Google search would suffice.
It is SAD for us IMHO, because why would the devs spend time developing something when another scumbag(s) profits from their hard work and time. Sheesh this one place even charge their users $10 so they can use Bossland's bots, and the allready made $4,000 plus LOL

So, it would be great to let us DL the nav data, since that is what the *****ers/hackers did for HB anyway.

...just saying....:P
 
You're saying HB has been, or buddy wing? Because I don't believe I've seen any *****s for BW.

This is not true. Honorbudy meshes download, I have a few gigs of them on my Hard drive atm.
as a matter of fact you do not need to download the 30gigs of meshes only the ones you need at any given time, someone who only bots one planet will never have to download much of them at all. It only makes sense to allow them to be downloaded.
