Is anyone running Act 3 with a Whirl Wind build? If so what items are you using? Thanks,

I'm using a Skorn, IK helm and gloves and STR, resists and VIT items. =]

My WW barb uses 2 hander with 1100dps, 238 str, like 170 stam, 138 crit dmg, 100 crit dmg gem and 5.4 life steal, its not perfect but it works for me, gonna upgrade to Skorn soon since gold prices dropping.

It all depends on your gear, here is what I use but remember what works for me might not work with your gear

cleave, reaping swing - for quick fury generation
WW, blood funnel - heals 2% of your life on ww crits
sprint, marathon - for speed
warcry, impunity - increases armor and AR
battle rage, into the fray - increases dmg and crits has a chance to restore 15 fury so you can WW non stop as long as you're hitting something
overpower, crushing advance - redirects 35% melee and ranged dmg for 4 sec after cast

Runes
Tough as Nails, Superstition, Nerves of Steel - for survivability
Ruthless, Superstition, Nerves of Steel - more dps less survivability
Ruthless, Weapon Master, Superstition - even more dps

You dont have to use 2 1hander. You can either play a WW build with a shield and get additional 10% crit. That worked best for me in MP2

Well I am getting way more XP /hr and kills with this WW setup rather than my other setup with revenge. I do have Skorn, IK Boots / Gloves and others good rares with Str / Res / Life steal and Crit. I am on MP1 still. Probably could Farm MP2 with this setup since I do not even get close to dieing.

i use 2 1hands. 1070 dps 59cd and a socket and i use and off hand dagger 650dps 82 cd socket and 275 vit. my passives are blood, weapon master, and what ever gives me the most armor. I have 5.50 life steal, 0 life on hit, 800 life on sec. i have all vit and str gear. 300 ar. i run 60k life. the key is the off hand dagger. i farm mp3 0 deaths. i can do mp8-10 by hand

Gearing advice was following this, with preference of Mighty Weapon MH/Dagger OH.
For Fury Generation and faster Tornado's.
Pick up Lacuni's Prowlers as a priority, I picked mine up with 80 Strength for 200k.

BEGINNERS SPEC BUDGET WW BARB BUILD

Ok, many have asked me to add this because obviously this build can cost a billion. So here is a quick reference to my build, cheap style. Search the following and try to snipe the best available in bids!! BIN is usually too much! Rares are now MUCH cheaper due to legendary buffs! Use rares, forget the legendary for a beginner build, they are very effective!

Helm : Str, Vit, RA, CrtCh, socket.
Shoulders : Str, vit, RA
Amulet : Str, RA, Vit, CrtCh, ASI, LOH 300+
Chest : Str, Vit, RA, 3 sockets
Pants : Str, Vit, RA, 2 sockets
Belt : Str, Vit, RA, Life Steal 2.8% or greater
Gloves : Str, Vit, RA, CrtCh, ASI
Bracers : Str, Vit, RA, CrtCh
Rings : High Str, CrtCh, ASI
Boots : Str, Vit, RA, Movement 12%
Main Hand : DPS 900+, Crit Dmg (50%+), socket (axe or mighty weap)
Off hand : DPS 600+, Crt Dmg (50%+) LOH 800+, socket

Several of those pieces are hardly "cheap" at all, if there are even any listings for them.

The helm is going to cost a bomb, one of the stated stats has to be dropped.

The amulet is going to cost a kidney, if you can even find one. You've just described a perfect amulet (all beneficial 6 stat item). All resist, Crit chance, IAS and LoH are high cost stats. At most only 2 should be picked, I suggest crit chance and LoH (since LoH can roll really high now, and really 600 is all you'll need).

Those kinds of gloves cost a lot for decent stats on strength and vitality (getting either over 100 is costly). Either give one up, drop all resist and keep strength and vitality, or settle for mediocre stats on IAS and Crit Chance.

Main hand - 1k-1.1k with high strength and base 50 crit chance; which is much cheaper, or an open socket.
Off hand - 900+ with strength/vitality (whichever you're lacking/that's available), 50% base crit and socket.

They are cheaper which won't cost more than 5m each on buyouts. It give much needed stats on either strength or vitality for boosted armor/health that picks up some slack from armor pieces so they can be cheaper as well. I'm unsure if based on paperdoll DPS it will have more or less compared to your choices, but with whirlwind (considering it alternates between hands), it'll provide a better DPS output.

Why bother putting so much emphasis on LoH? To get 1200 LoH or even a little less is going to cost an affix slot on your off-hand/main hand. The person either has to settle with lower DPS; thus having slower runs, or put in more gold to achieve the DPS they could have without the LoH affix; which would stray from this "beginner/cheap" ww barb build.

If you're still head strong about having stat-less weapons, then good luck trying to achieve 2000 strength. It is not cheap to get along side a decent amount of health. If you're trying to give advice for a "budget" barb, then you cannot just "understand" that a person may not have the budget for it. It must be a sure-fire way to achieve a given amount of stats at a given budget, a budget which you didn't even mention I might add.

Looking way too deep into this? Dude this isn't some philosophy class, I'm merely pointing out the gaping flaws in your advice. If you're just going to throw out all the stats that could be on certain equips, well anybody can do that. And really 2000 strength is not a budget, you couldn't achieve that amount yourself, why suggest it as a budget? People will be following your advice I assume considering they suggested you post this, why mislead them?

Do you even know what is the meaning of ignorant? I know that 2000 strength along with decent health and all resist is not at all a "budget" build (20-30m-ish?) because I've geared up 4 barbs. I know that you don't necessarily need 1.2k LoH because my barbs do fine with 600 along with 2.3-3% Life Steal. Which part of that post shows "ignorance" anyway?

How am I trolling? How in the world is a str, vit, all resist, IAS, crit chance and LoH amulet budget? Hell the author himself admits that the build is not cheap. I actually attempted to make adjustments to the points which worked well for me while not being too costly, which you obviously didn't give a shit about and somehow now you're being all high and mighty over comments I made of a guide that isn't even yours. I called out several points, not the whole damn thing. Maybe you should quit copy and pasting? Besides it's a guide for legit players, not bots.

My barb is built mainly on gear I have found and snipes, lacunis are a must, dont need an expensive one just decent str and vit, 12%MS on boots needed too, i sniped a nice pair of IK boots for 8m so try your luck.

STR: 2025 VIT: 986 DEX: 596 (21.9% dodge) AR: 624-744 Armor: 7.4k

AS: 1.8/2.07 CC: 55.50% CD: 483%

DPS: 95k - unbuffed
113 - WC
152 - WotB

I use two one handers, MH: Axe (Used with Weapon Master), OH: Dagger. Dagger or fast wep for OH provides better Tornado ticks, there is alot of research done to show you what AS you need.
