Which Explorer route mode do you use in QT ?

Which one are you finidng best for GRift's ? I am sick to death of the constant backtracking of maps to go to a tiny area that is unexplored but obviously contains nothing. I'm sick of dying and going back to where I was fighting by the exact same route as I have just come down when there is a more direct route to take, especially the library levels. GRifts are all about speed and efficiency, something that isn't currently happening. Just looking for the one option that gives me the something close to what I want.

GRifts are all about time, by now DB/Trinty should know every map backwards, Grift needs pathing to be different, the shortest time between the entrance and the exit is the aim, none of the bullshit exploring it does, you don't need that for Grift.
