Which Class For Farming?

Hey guys, I wanted to make a new account to start farming some gold or materials for my other account.

I have a spare battle chest CD key that I'll use, should I upgrade to WoTLK or is that useless without going to Cata (Which I don't want to do on a "throw away account")

Second question, which class should I use? I was thinking paladin but if something else would be better, let me know.

Third question, would I be ok making it the same last name as me just with a different first name so I can transfer characters if I wanted?

in relation to best class, i find that druid is pretty good, for one it can get herbs without switching from flightform and it also has waterform which is handy in vasjhir. thats my oppinion anyway.

You can fly in Northrend/Outland upgrading to WotLK, but no where else, so thats a big drawback to no cata. Druid or Paladin, imo. 3rd question idk.

Top 3 for gathering classes is in my opinion:

Druid = Especially for herbalism.
Paladin = Tanks anything and has great speed with crusader aura.
Death Knight = Like above but requires talent points in On A Pale Horse.

If you don't want to look like a "botting" class then choose something a bit different like a Mage/Priest.
