I'm just curious is there a "Status" page which simply shows the following:

Authentication Server: [ Green | Yellow | Red ]
World Of Warcraft Client 6.xxx [ Green | Yellow | Red ]
World Of Warcraft Client 7.xxx [ Green | Yellow | Red ]

Bandwave Rating : [ Green | Yellow | Red ]

As a consumer and customer, it'd be great to have a a simplified feedback loop in place with Bossland in these matters, as we'd all like to provide smarter and more intelligable feedback whenever bans occur, issues arise and also can take the sting out of negativity associated with "are we there yet".

Parsing the "forums" or the site is cumbersome to just find these key pieces of information.

Only times ive experienced downtime was when Tripwire was activated or a big patch. [/url]
These links update us every chance they get.

Firstly thanks for the link, wasn't aware of that one!

lastly, i'd prefer to see additions to that page with two other criteria, "ban wave" and "bot vs wow client parity". The reason being is i'd rather not wade through message forums to mine for information, simple check once a day of that page will give me the visual queues to make informed decisions about my approach to WoW.

I think the banwave is important as chances are when someone is banned and it happens in a way that the Bossland folks consider it a potential threat then i'd prefer to adhere to their judgement in these matters.

I think you have a great idea there.

Hey, this reply is a bit late, but I'm the author of the status page and thought I'd drop in on this conversation, because it contains some really good suggestions. The status page currently displays the status of our backend services that support the bot. Think of services such as the authentication servers per region, but also navigation services for the various bots we have. Information regarding these services is periodically obtained by the application, some analysis is performed, and the result is displayed. That entire process is automated.

We're currently looking into ways to expand the status page, with the availability of bots, tripwire status, etc. Except for the Tripwire, we'll have to figure out a way to display this information without relying on human interaction. Our users collectively are usually faster at figuring out a banwave is going on than we are. If, during a banwave, we have to manually change the status of the page to adjust the detection information, it'll already be too late for the vast majority of our users. On top of that, if we forget to change the status after a banwave has been analysed and the green light has been lit, well, that's terrible for business. The same goes for the availability of bots; if we can figure out a way to keep these accurate at all times, in an automated fashion, we'll definitely add them to the status page.

The point of the page is to give users the most recent, accurate status of our services. Requiring human interaction will introduce a random amount of delay, which will result in giving our users inaccurate information. I personally think it's a better idea to have users flock the forums to figure out what's going on together than to give them false, authoritative information.

Again, thanks for the feedback, we appreciate it! :)

On top of this page there is a big button on the right side called "Buddy Status". Here you go ^^
