when i buy digital WoW from store do i get sent key?

Go buy prepaid credit cards from walmart/target/etc

Then go to blizzard store, without logging in, buying them as needed.
Not sure, but I assume you'll have to make the account on the spot when you purchase.

I haven't bought one in awhile but in the past they've always sent me a key. I mean what if I was buying it as a gift for someone else? Would I really want their account sitting on my battle.net? Makes no sense that they would auto add it to my battle.net.

This is correct, i just bought one and it takes you to a page and shows you your key. You can do what you like with the key.

nope, that is incorrect. they were not added to my account. I hav the keys and they are unused. it even gave me the option after i bought them of gifting to a friend.

Odd i didnt have that option, which country are you buying them from? I got them in the UK maybe its different in every country.

thing is.. you activated yours... why yours got added to the account.. ...

log on your battle.net order some copies and do not activate them once your purchase is done. you'll get an email stating the serial codes..

I see, When you buy from battle.net it attaches to ur accnt automatically. If u buy from Blizz store u get codes, said tthat in email with my codes.

you are wrong... make sure you first goto the blizz store NOT ACCOUNT ADMIN!!!!, purchase however many keys you want(max is 5 per email used for the sale), after you have payed it will send you to a page that has all of your keys listed with the codes and gives you 2 options.... one will be to upgrade an existing account the other will be GIFT to FRIEND!!!! select the later one and it will email the key and not apply it to any accounts....

do not log into your battle.net account on blizzard.net... only login to your battle.net once you are at the Blizzard Store!!!!
