Your profile is pretty amazing! I'm not complaining or anything, but what's stopping it from being a FULL AFK pack?there's 1 in uldum ... a couple in TH (most ppl skip it now). and then they start in jade forest ... a few per zone

Is there something us the users can do or contribute to better improve and make it a full afk pack?
behaviors take 4-6 hours each to develop, then another few days of testing with 20 toons
For the mesh issue, couldn't there be a better system for better handling stucks?Hi, Lilsavalex,
There are many causes of quest profiles not being completely AFKable:
Even if the profiles were perfect, you're still going to have mesh and flightor issues. WoW will continue to change the game world--throwing in seasonal doodads like Christmas trees--that get the bot hung up.
- Lack of needed Quest Behaviors is easily the number one cause
- Sometimes, its a mesh issue
For instance the "flying boat" in Deepholm is on a completely different mesh than the rest of the zone. Kick has solved the problem if you don't interrupt the profile. But if any hiccup is encountered, Honorbuddy doesn't make enough 'state' available to the profile for recovery purposes.
- Using mixed-mode (BG and Questing) is another instance of "not enough state" is available
When a user returns from BG, sometimes enough quest state is not preserved to know where to pick up and continue.
- Honorbuddy isn't there yet
When repairs are needed, Honorbuddy will fight its way to the repair guy. A human might decide there's no way to make the journey with the current state of his gear, then hearth, repair, and return.
Honorbuddy also doesn't have built-in inter-continental travel. All crossing of Continents is done by the profile writer jumping through some pretty serious hoops.
- WoWclient bugs
For instance, in doing the quest Potency (see comments), sometimes the Orange Mist doesn't trigger for a player. I've directly experienced this several times. If that happens you have to leave the area, then re-enter the area and repeat until it occurs.
There are similar WoW bugs with phasing or NPCs failing to interact, and only restarting the WoWclient will repair the issue.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying the task cannot be solved. I'm saying it is a lot of work, and a lot of testing, and continuous maintenance.
cheers,
chinajade
There's still a lot of work to be done but we'll get there soon enough.
For the mesh issue, couldn't there be a better system for better handling stucks?
Lets say I get stuck somewhere, Honorbuddy sends my hotspot information to
a system that receives hotspots and if more then X amount are receive from the same hotspot.
It's automatically turned into a blackspot.
Just a thought.

- Hotspot data is sent to a remote system that handles meshes.
- If more then X amount are received from the same hotspot, it's turned into a blackspot without human interference.
- Push/Pull Mesh system updates a meshes in the designated mesh file without the user having to download it.
what happens if that spot is a doorway into a room?
From what Chinajade linked, when a blackspot is place on a mesh, every mesh touching that blackspot becomes a blackspot. I might be thinking too hard about this but there's always a way around everything, you just have to be creative enough.what happens if that spot is a doorway into a room?
