I am creating private profiles for me... but I want to offer them for our community as well. Nevertheless they should have a certain quality.. so I just want to ensure to understand everything right.
Hence, my question: When do I use mass-meshing? Are there situations in which I should not use it because [reason?]... you know what I mean.

I would appreciate a comment by Hawker, Boss... or somebody else of the official staff... that does not mean that I do not trust our community... but as you can imagine official statements hopefully can be taken as 100% valid.

Cheers.

When you have a nice flat area and are ready to test a little. I prefer the control of not using mass mesh. Main only uses mass mesh.

Ok fairly understood. Furthermore: If he gets off the mashtrack because of whatever reason... and lets say (in theoretical manner) on the way back a stone blocks your path back... I am fucked right? The bot has no real anti-stuck till now (like jump... or whatever...) so yea.. thats pretty it, right? ^^ So is in that case the mass mesh feature an advantage? ^^

It does have anti stuck. It jumps and runs to the sides. The best anti-stuck feature it has though, is without a doubt that it regenerates the path around the obstacle if it gets stuck; if it gets stuck, it "closes" the connection between the nodes it got stuck on and regenerates the path.
Now, to original post, mass meshing is useful when you're outdoors in a plain open area.

Something worth noting about mass meshing - once you're done do go through and make sure that everything meshed is walkable. Sometimes it will create paths through walls and other solid objects that just wont work. To save yourself the trouble, just delete the nodes surrounding it - its not hard to do and will save you from potential troubles down the road.
