When asking for a refund, on another account - This is what I got..

I see, well I am sorry to say that there is a level 100 character on the account. Even though Warlords gave you a boost to level 90, playing from level 90 to level 100 with Honorbuddy is playing very far into the purchased game content. So we must consider the product used at this point. That being the case we will not be able to offer a refund for the game upgrades at this point.

** How the fuck did they know that I was specifically using Honorbuddy?
 
I got banned about 30mins after I pre-purchased Legion, didn't use the boost. I shall try myself for a refund, tomorrow when the live chat opens, will try anything to get a refund, I mean they banned me just after paying for something. Feels like they are stealing my money :(
 
Because they have had access to it for a while now and logging the users. I think they are specifically targeting users that are buying an upgrade with bans. I never was hit with a ban, 2 days ago i purchased legion. Account is now suspended. go figure.

If you want a refund, I got a legion refund as soon as I got banned I was probably the first person to get one. Then after everybody started asking I guess they came up with the excuse that once you get banned for botting your contract isn't valid and its up to them to refund you.

I suggest if your going for a refund really get close with this http://us.blizzard.com/en-us/company/about/termsofsale.html so you can make a good case.

Otherwise, your best bet is to say nothing and just run a chargeback on your cc or paypal brother.
 
hahahaha to be honest they are smart, we hurt their game community, they hurt us back by stealing our money and accounts. The winners are the ones who are selling their detected software which made us pay for it, and of course blizzard :D
 
Call your credit card company and ask them to do a chargeback for Legion.
 
My appeal is going through though... 24 hours until account is reinstated. Y'all must be doing something wrong when appealing because they didn't even mention use of HB when I spoke to them nor could the GM I opened the ticket with even see a reason other then "Use of third party software." He had to push my ticket to Account Admin and they over turned the ban... So maybe it's a case by case or you just got a crappy GM from the get go.

So I went to the EU terms of sales as I am from the EU and came across these 2 sentences.

"Your order is accepted and a contract concluded once we have sent you a confirmation email"

4. Right of withdrawal.You have the right to withdraw from a contract within 14 calendar days without giving any reason.

I guess I should quote these 2 things and they should hopefully refund me, I mean it would of been less than 24 hours since the "Contract"(as they put it) had happened.
 
They just closed mine right away:

We have detected botting activity on this account and sent you an email with details on its suspension. This issue is closed and we will not accept further appeals.

What did you write in your appeal?
 
I got the same BS answer, that I had a level 100 toon so they won't refund me. I escalated it to paypal since I feel like they just "ripped me off".. After all, locking me out of something I just paid $60 for 5 days ago is the same as theft ;p We'll see what happens
 
Theres so many possibilities of whats going on and one can only imagine for themselves. I can think of 100 ways this is being played but who cares. If you get banned, try to get whatever you can out of it cause it works sometimes.. Whatever you don't get you call it a day and move on 40$ for WoW once a month is absolutely fuck all the bot did all the work anyways.
A Battlechest, and subscription costs me an hour and 15 minutes of work I cant complain.

It is what it is, Everybody is human and dev's try. Blizzard has a huge team, HB doesn't. Of course 30 guys who get paid 25$ an hour will ***** HB especially when they can buy it and tear into every MB of it to see how it works. Its a game to all of us, when people give up and quit going they give the GM's and stuff more time to do something else. If we always kept them busy with bullshit they wouldn't have enough resources to chase us. Cat and mouse, Chess or Checkers. We could be the farm. Illuminati

If you want a refund for legion, then they should be able to give it to you as its not a released product yet so you did not 'play very far into the purchase game content'.

If you want refund for gametime/wod upgrade then they are right.

Being banned from the game will void your contract with the ToS. Tried that shit. I'm gonna appeal the ban on the account and see what happens.

I will still mention many things, being banned 30mins after a purchase is very dodgey, it's selling a service then blocking you from it after they took the money, no better than a common thief in my eyes :(
 
I will not put exactly what I wrote onto the forums for obvious reasons, but I will let you know the subjects.

1. I denied the allegations outright.
2. I asked to review all the evidence that lead to the banning of the account.
3. I requested a swift reversal of said decision.
4. I was polite.
5. I expressed my frustrations and irritation in regards to the ban.
6. I steered clear from obvious keywords or phrases used when referencing botting and watched the wording of my appeal carefully.

Now if any of this actually works is completely dependent on numerous factors, but none the less it worked for me.
 
Mwayne did you do this on battlenet or how do you go about talking to anyone about this?
 
Reactivated my account a few days ago. Botted a low level to 20 and then Hb stopped working due to the patch so I haven't used it since Monday and today my account got a 6 month suspension... In the process of appealing now. Outright denying everything.
