When are we finally getting Engineering support in HB?

I asked this a few years ago, and also before I took a break from WoW a good year ago I asked it again.
When are we finally getting support for Engineers to harvest 'corpses' for spare parts with the engineering trait?
I think it's the only profession that is not supported for quite some time now.

Skinning, Mining, Herbalism, it's all there, just not this one.

There used to be a plugin that did somewhat this function, but it's in the archives, and I don't have it anymore either since meanwhile I'm a few HDD's further (was called something like corpse harvester or loot master, something along those lines).

I'd like to see some support for this after all these years.

Tagging on this, I don't think there is an option for those to Herb or Mine corpses either. Like you the only thing I came across was the corpse harvester.

Hi, LiquidAtoR,

This is feature request HB-635 ("HB does not support salvaging mechanical mobs")--the feature request also covers herbing from mob corpses. It is very very low priority in the overall scheme of things for many reasons.

• There are significant patches coming up soon.
• Prep for Legion will require complete rewrites of sub-systems
• The material yielded by doing what you suggest is minimal/unimportant in the overall scheme of things
• A plugin can easily be written to fill the gap (as you suggest)

As you can see it is a non-stop parade of improvements and bug fixes. Although you may not agree with the priorities placed on certain closure selections, the list is driven by a set of priorities determined by the senior staff.
