What's the range of being banned right now?

I am getting back into botting on my paid account and was wondering on a scale from 1 through 10 (1 = tiny chance of ban / 10 = for sure a ban) if using GB2 will get me banned.

People who got banned are people who used the public profile for too much time every day. If you don't plan to use it for 12 hours every day of the week, I would say it is okay but I wouldn't recommend it.
 
I seem to get banned everytime I turn a bot on at the moment (private profiles, not botting for long) but others seem to not have any issues and bot for hours on end.
 
i bot 10 hours a day at the moment and not ban yet and this is on a acount that got a perma ban and i got it back so i would say its as safe as it could be but there is allways a risk
 
Even if you run custom profiles it is risky because it will be the same pattern, even if you are the only one to do it.

I stopped using GB2. I am waiting for something new to counter the LCP Detection.

prolly the smartest thing to do, to be honest. im planning on leveling a 8th toon to 90, so i gathered an additional 20k gold or so over a 4 day period(roughly), just so i can get 476-496 gear on the ah when i hit 90, to get in ToT asap.

but ive decided that i have plently of gold to do another lvl 90, so im calling it quits on GB2, until the devs come up with a way to make it less detectable. granted, i only gather less than 6 hours a day, use plenty of plugins and all that...but im spooked by this new LCP detection thing. and i have no plans of buying GatherBro either.

i only have 1 account and its got all 7 of my 90's on it, and i have fun doing ToT LFR's each week, so if it were to get banned, ide be pretty pissed! not gonna take that chance. :)

EDIT: oh btw, what does LCP stand for in LCP detection? what the heck even is it? info on it? sources? thanks.
 
if u use gatherbuddy its alrite but its not alrite if you use public profiles if you wanna use gatherbuddy without banning you need to create your own profile with zap recorder using public profile wil get u more riskier then using your own profile with gb questing is 100 procent safe pve raiding is safe and arena rbg is also safe if you move manually and let hb do the rotation

The infos I found about that : LCP Detection - How your Gathering Bot could be banned

I don't know if we are sure about all that but still, I think it is safer to wait for a completely randomized way to gather with GatherBuddy even if we have less nodes per hours because of the randomness.

A banned bot is 0 NPH anyway.

been using a druid for months now, 10 hours a day or more - to farm BC/WOTLK ores and herbs, not a ban on that one yet..
used a druid to farm for herbs and ores in MoP.. got banned after being online for 3 hours ^^

I can confirm that i've never had any problems with profiles that were repeating or lcp detectable untill around april so the detection is kinda new but we don't work for blizzard so I don't know.

The bans regarding lcp detection are defenitly new.
 
I've been botting 24/7 for the past 3 days now. No ban yet but I plan on stopping when I reach 90.
 
I MAY start using GB2 again to get a bit more gold. but i will cut my time botting from 6 hours straight to 3 hours straight 100% afk. im just sooo scared of getting banned. just 3 hours seems reasonable. but i still feel worried about it lol. considering tons of ppl take a chance and bot for 6+ hours at a time...some for days at a time. so i'll try the 3 hour a day thing when HB gets updated. and i will tweak my LogMeOut settings to more paranoid parameters lol. and of course make it logout after 3 hours. usually 6 hours nets me about 7k gold a day. so i'll still be getting around 3.5k a day. which isnt terrible, so.. just be doing that at times im not at home. cus when im at home i do LFR's. :p

GB2 is fine if you use random profiles
my sweet little farm of 8 eu toons is doing fine since 2 weeks already - they're 12/7 up and farming roundabout 160 NPH (150% Mnt)

gold prices right now are pretty nice too
 
been running 2 weeks , you have to take breaks you cant be doing 24/7 botting cause if someone reports you and your doing only 4 hours per day then you could be legitimately farming even 8 hours but its unreasonable to think that you are out of the norm and do 16+ hours of farming 7 days a week you wouldn't enjoy the game therefor you get ban hammer fast just be smart about it and dont afk if you do stop your bot thats always the safest way
