Other than a popular Leg profile like Zulles?

I've been told higher Torment levels means access to different legendaries that won't drop in the lower tier Torments, or is that just a rumor and higher torments is simply a straight bonus to Leg drop rate?

Is it worth doing 10games/hour famring Zulle on Torment4, or is my time better spent trying to get Legs by spamming Torment 1 or 2?

Trying to get Immortal Kings set for my Barb, otherwise i'm told they're not even useful without the perma Fury-Mode?

Cheers!

Whichever difficulty you can do fast (i.e. no more than 1min on boss I think). Personally I do Act 4 bounties, I think it's decent legendary per hour and shards. With caches/shards and drops on T1 I get around 2 legendary drops per hour.

Right, but my question is does the Torment difficulty affect how well Legendaries roll, or what loot pool for Legendaries we have access to?

Torment does not affect rolls.

Upping the difficulty to Torment only introduces new RoS set items into the drop table, it doesn't affect any other new type of legendary items - so you can get a Thunderfury in Normal as well as in Torment, but you shouldn't get the new set items.

The only other thing it affects is gem quality, and as you increase Torment, you increase the legendary rate, but you also decrease the effective clear time, so you want to find a balance between clear time (so mob hp vs. dps) and the Torment level. So if you can clear T1-T2 only slightly slower than T3, then do T3, but if T4 takes a significantly longer time, then it's not worth the extra time for the % increase in drop rate.

Oh right, in terms of effectiveness, there's 2 choices - you either do the standard campaign bosses, Kulle, etc. or you run Act 4 bounties (Act 1 buggy for me anyway) -> rifts. After the unique bosses nerf it seems like bounties->rifts have been much better for me, but that's personal opinion. I just prefer the blood shards + the very high chance for a forgotten soul from the rift boss.

No it is not true

There has been NO Proof of higher torments increasing your rolls on legendaries. The only difference is that once you are in Torment 1+ you have a chance at Set Items as well as legendaries.

And as stated before rule of thumb is 45 seconds to 1 minute per boss

Hope this helps

Upcoming Hotfixes to Legendary Items - Forums - Diablo III

"Update 3/28 @ 5:20 p.m. PT: These hotfixes have been implemented and should now be live in all regions. Please note that you may need to restart your game in order for them to go into effect.

------------------------------------------------------------

Hey everyone,

As a quick heads up, we have two buffs to Legendary item drop rates coming down the pipeline.

First change: We're increasing the drop rate for Legendary items (this includes Set items) in Torment 1-6.

Second change: We're significantly increasing the chance for an item purchased from Kadala to be a Legendary.

Both of these hotfixes are somewhat proactive, but are aimed to help improve the reward curve for players as they start to reach higher Torment difficulties. We look forward to hearing your feedback as a result of these changes!

Please note that these hotfixes have not yet been implemented. Once the hotfixes are live, they will be added and updated here."

Yea I read that the other week but wasn't sure on the availability on different types of items. Seems "Sets" are the only thing that changes? Do you get access to different sets per torment level, or just a higher chance at ANY new set?

Also, I found the bounties and rift profiles to be WAAAY too slower. The bot just explores the whole map, and if it dies or somehow "forgets" where it has been it will backtrack the whole way doubling or trippling the effective clear time.

In 6hrs running bounties in Act4 my bot only managed about 14 neph token things, and 219 bloodstones :(, or something pitiful along those lines.

I then let the bot run tormentIII neph portals, he used up all 69 that i had been saving for a couple of days. It took him about 11hours to use up all neph portals I had saved up, and only got three or four worthless legendaries out of it that I ended up trashing.

Spamming Ghom or even Hell Rifts for XP seem to be a more profitable investment when it comes to farming Legendaries.

That being said, I may just go back to T1 spamming Ghom for Legs/Sets. I've yet to come across an Immortal Kings set item for my Barb, or a TalRasha set item for my Wizard :(. I also need 2 unity rings BADLY, but i've yet to ever find one despite all the farming i've done.

Are they more prevalent for a given class?

Normal-Master:
All Legendary Weapons/Rings/Armor/etc... level 1-60 are available. (They scale their levels now, but they are not all level 60 or whatever.)

Example:
Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker - Game Guide - Diablo III
Blackthorne's Jousting Mail - Game Guide - Diablo III
Drop in Normal-Tourment 6

Notice the level requirement.

Torment 1-6: (Also has higher drop rate for legendary/set items as a whole.)
-All Legendary Weapons/Rings/Armor/etc... level 1-60 are available.
-All of the new Level 70 only legendary and set items are also available.

Example:
Shard of Hate - Game Guide - Diablo III
Raekor
Drop only in Tourment 1-6

Notice the level 70 requirement.

Also from what I've made sense of. Items are dropped based on random number generation (RNG). So its kinda like this, if you play the lottery you have more chances of winning if you have more tickets. Based on that theory, in Diablo the more items that are dropped for you the better chances you have at legendary items. So what i do is, I run t2, since i have a lightning barb with soh and kill fast. I get a lot of item drops plus the increased chance at legendary items dropping to boost it further. But at the end of the day it all comes down to if RNG rolls good for you. So you really can't do anything to really guarantee yourself a lot of legendary items.

As for specific classes having priority drops, I would assume so because of the smart drop system introduced in loot 2.0. You will not likely find tal rasha on a barb or the phoenix set recently added. And if you do, it would be really rare, since items are dropped in accordance to your main stat. As for weapons and rings, I don't think it changes that much because they all seem to drop, just with the current classes main stat. So yes i do believe certain classes are able to get certain items better, excluding non class based weapons(Daibo, Staff, Mighty Weapon, etc...).

Yea, trying out Barb as everyone seems to say Barbs are OP are hell now in 2.0.4, and Wizards are burst DPS with little survivability so they need more specific gear to do the same apparently?

Pretty sure I'll just have my new Barb spam T1 Ghom until he gets nicer gear under his belt, or i'll just spam Hell Rifts T1 xD
