Looking to gauge community interest & priority on the hottest problem/issue/request. I see a lot of stuff and get a lot of questions - everyone wants their own thing :)

Please note, I've already started working on most of these, particularly addressing crashing, multi-bot party support. Just started looking into Authenticator support recently.

lol, bots fighting eachother... maybe! if they dropped gold or something maybe there would be more incentive
 
Co-op should be really great and might be less work than it sounds thanks to Chucky-eggs code (although unfinished).

As for authenticator support, this used to be impossible to fully implement until Demonbuddy has the ability to compile plugins before logged in (just in case you are unaware of this)

Anyway all sound sweet! Great job once again, looking forward to updates!

I actually have my own multi-bot program i wrote, from the ground up. Still testing it and making improvements, not quite ready tho :)

P.S. Nothing is impossible... :cool:

I see, normally i would say that sounds like more work than needed BUT i have seen your previous work so i am sure it was by far the best call :p

For the authenticator support i am really wondering how you are going to manage to get this possible but out of the box thinking has proved itself worthy far more than once i guess


As for the improved Item Rules topic, i have absolutely no idea which way you are thinking with this but in its most simplistic version i'm just gonna welcome you to include my rules located here: http://www.thebuddyforum.com/demonbuddy-forum/plugins/trinity/115667-itemrules2-gnillers-super-tight-loot-rules.html. This may very well not be what you mean by better item rules but better said than sorry :)
 
I would like to add creating Act1 and Act2 profiles fallowing the same model like the already existing Act3 by rrrix (picking a few places to farm by our own.. fallowing random order). Those are important cause of the upcoming patch.

I'll likely start working on similar A1 and A2 profiles once 1.0.8 is released to the live servers, and after I spend some time working on any necessary improvements/fixes for Trinity that 1.0.8 might be necessary. The A3 profiles turned out really well, just because of how the waypoints are located.
 
Okay, i will let you guys know what i think about all that:

1. Fix. Crashing. Please! - would be great to fix it, but i believe it does not affect us that much, so should not be a priority.

2. Multi-bot party botting - would be a great addition, i believe it should be worked on to make it possible in future.

3. Authenticator Support - the lock out stuff does not happen to me and i believe it is a blizzard fail and will be gone soon. so no priority.

4. Better support for MP10 - i think botting mp10 is retarded, but a better mob-type-focus settings would be great. definitely something that needs to be incorporated in future.

5. More fine-grained support for unique builds - another great thing that needs to be incorporated.

6. Better item rules - the existing choices for loot rules are more than enough. well edited loot rules 2 work close to perfect. i believe rrrix should not waste time on that at all

7. Other (add comment) - accurate iph (etc.) data in the GUI would be very nice, but is not important at all.

6. Better item rules - Lowest priority by far. There are several options available which handle this just fine.


I appreciate this thread a lot, but it would come down to common sense. People paid for a working bot; 2 of these issues actually create trouble for using it; the rest are improvements for bot behaviour.

No matter if it is happening to 1%, 5% or 50%, crashing and locking should be taken care of first imo. And the people not realising this....well, honestly I would love to see them experiencing both issues first hand, guess their priorities would be different then. Sigh....

my vote is for running my bots co op... (for the 30% extra mf/gf, and possibly allow easier/higher MP since 4 bots would probably just melt stuff)
this could cause an entirely new mess with crashes lol, - an auto invite when a friend comes online might work with those reloggers (add bots as a friend and specify battletags in trinity)

Work on improving efficiency, decreasing CPU utilization/RAM etc... I want to run more BOTS on one PC!!! :D

1. for high MP, please make bot focus on Fallen Maniacs first over any other target so you don't need crazy HP just for them :)

2. again for high MP, i wish bots to selectively ignore hard elites such as extra health, shielding or arcane. but since what is defined as 'hard' differs to each bot, it'd be amazing if you can define what is hard elite in Trinity setting. For example for mp10 crypt of ancient farming I don't mind killing the elite most of time but whenever the elite is extra health or arcane my bot wastes a lot time.

3. Also, opposite to ignore elites, how do I completely ignore trash monsters and farm elites only? I wish to use tempest rush to hunt elites quickly but bots often stop for trash despite I have minimused trash pack radius and maximised trash mob count :/

4. this might not be a problem for others but how does avoid AOE work for you guys? Mine partially works, that bots often initially run away from AOE only to run back right into it a second later and then run away again...how do I fix it?

Some people have been having "Bot Thread Stopped. Was This Requested?" Problems with your YAR fork. Besides that I would say keep working on that co-op program you have been writing you mentioned :) sounds very promising I love all your work! :D

This is really interesting! For people botting high Mp's and ignoring elites, its really usual to see the bot ignore an elite with a real low life % left. Would it be possible for the bot to check either life % or total life for the elite and, if it is within certain amount, try to finish it off? Like kill elites when they are below 20% life, or below 5m life left.

Is it possible Rixx?
