Well obviously Im guessing Honnorbuddy will be down a few days after launch, and profiles for new zones wont be ready, so i want to make sure I have a good bit of mats saved up that might jump in price when it treleases

I hear tons of people waiting with their auctions to unleash everything after cata. With the huge wave of mats incoming, I estimate that prices might even drop instead of going up a lot, and that it will be hard to have a certain niche in the market for yourself. Myself, i will only be stocking a couple of level 80 enchants. People leveling might want to enchant their gear, but the newer enchants will be very expensive in the first weeks.
Therefore, old enchants.

And ofcourse I'm gonna mine and herb a lot after the release, but only cata material.

Do you still think so with 1000 people on your server planning on doing EXACTLY the same?

And don't forget some new levelers will have gathering professions aswell, and zones will have more nodes -> even higher supply.

If you are goldseller, i advise you to stock gold as much as possible, prices will go up and demand also, when other players wanna up their professions like Enchanting, BS, LW, JC...
For example stock 100k gold, each 1k = 3$ => 300$ = Cata + 1 Year Subscription for 1 account and some money for another HB lifetime

gold in cata is redicolous compared to now i would'nt stockpile gold, you get 83 gold just for doing random cata heroic.

basically mats required to level professions will be needed, but the amount needed are gonna be reworked and alot of places the qty required will be decreased due to how blizz modified things. I would say the biggest things will be saronite and titanium ore. The herbs will be iffy... but enchanting supplies will be a good invest I think cause of the leveling and alot of teh chants will be good for a few levels in Cata still
