What to do with Saronite?

Hey fellow HB/GB users.


I upgraded to GB lifetime a couple of days ago, up untill now ive made most of my money farming mithril and iron with HB.

The thing in question is that now that i'm using GB, im walking away with about 3k a day, but i still have tons of saronite left over that doesnt sell, right now i have 4 frostweave bags full of it.

I tried smelting bars and selling them, but i still have a bunch left at the end of the day.

So, your advice is welcome.

Get a guild vault, store it in there, farm less and just try to sell off your stock then farm again.

Spend 4/5k on making a transmute alchemist, then transmute the saronite bars into titanium, and then titanium into titansteel. A stack sells for 2,000 easy, you'll make your money back very quickly.

It used to, but not anymore.

You'll also be able to transmute some of the gems you get from mining into an epic gem, but that DOES have a cooldown. You'll be getting most of your money from the titansteel though.

Here's the conversion rate:

2 Saronite Ores = 1 Saronite Bar
8 Saronite Bars = 1 Titanium Bar
3 Titanium Bars (1 Eternal Earth, Shadow and Fire) = 1 Titansteel bar

You'll lose some profit compared to just selling the ore on the AH, but ores sell very slowly, so it's usually best to just turn it into titansteel.

You can start xmuting titanium at 395 and skill up on it until 440ish when it turns grey, so it's definitely an easy way to skill up as well.

well im mining and herb maxed out and ill have to check titanium bar prices cause that might be a good idea.

Your profit window will be really really small that way, about 200g per stack. xD

If i was going to do this, this was my plan because saronite ore is cheap on my server so no real use for it. Also ill prolly be making titansteel because i get the mats so quickly.

Or, sell titanium ore in stacks on my server 150-200g sells quicker than i can put it on. make items from the saronite bars, disenchant and then sell mats. do this untill price rises again on the saronite then sell bars/ore - rinse and repeat.

Dust goes for about 1g50s - 2g each, and it sells really quick. also the belt buckles sell 50-80g each and they go very fast as well

Yeah but I'm not an engineer = ( I'm just going to farm cobalt until price drops then prolly pick up this technique.

They're 30 each on my server. QQ I'm trying to get all the designs for JC so it's a problem xD
