What to do with left over herbs?

Hi there,

Me and my friend recently started working together to save up as much gold as we can before cataclysm.
Now he is a alchemist / jewelcrafter, my professions are inscription and alchemy as well.
Now i make about 15 glyphs of everything and my friend makes flasks to sell. We split all profits in half and share it.

Now heres the problem. Since making flasks is our main income it requires Frost lotus. I've been farming Frost lotus about every night now and the income is pretty good. (Around 6k every day, i have multiple farming accounts) but i have to many left over herbs that i cant use anymore (After making the glyphs).

So what do i do with them?
Selling isn't an option because the prices are to low and they dont sell well on my server.

You could buy frost lotus from the AH to make more flasks. Or you could make elixirs as some of them tend to sell well but depends on your server.

Looks like he is asking what to do with the left over herbs and I'm giving him options.

If not going to sell and not going to mill then can only make more elixirs/flask so if thats no go then just dump them.

You should mill them and make Darkmoonfaire cards. i know u arent going to get gold right away. but you might end up with a few full decks in no time. and they still sell for a bit.

this is true, i used to do it but i got tired of milling. now i just stick 100 stacks of each on the ah, and sell the rest in /2 or to vendor

now i do also have private buyers... whatever they dont buy i will vendor sometimes if i have 12 tabs full

Darkmoon cards need you to have eternal lifes so if you have plenty of them then would be a good option as well.

I already tried to make Darkmoon decks but they just dont seem to sell on my server.

At this point i think the best option is to buy more frost lotus and make flasks or sell the herbs to private buyers (if i can find them ;p)

Thanks for the replies everyone!

EDIT: I just saw the post on mmo-champion.com about Frost Lotus drop change being increased by 50%
This will balance the flask making / herbs but the market price will go down :(

Not if the current drop rate is 10% will go up to 15% if it was a drop rate of 50% then yeah but drop rate is fairly low so a 50% increase will see a slight rise in the number you get.

Frost Lotus drop change being increased by 50%. that still means crap cause as far as it is listed on wowhead, it is only 3% and that would end up with 4.5% insted, so no i doubt it will screw over the flask market.

True, but i thought the current drop rate was higher. Seems i was wrong then!

Wasnt it previously 5%?

I just vendor herbs. Depending on how many bots you run it can become almost impossible to sell/use all your herbs unless you want to sit in trade all day or have lots of private buyers.

i use 2 herbers on 1 server and thats more than enough. i make most off my money off of ore tbh. if no buyers, smelt and sell to vendor. but i have ppl asking me everyday for 100+ stacks. hell, i sold 14 gtabs of ore in 1 day @14-15g/stack. it is all based on demand. :)
