What to do with all the ore!?!

Ok so I'm mining tons and tons of ore. Lately I've been prospecting the ore and selling the gems but they aren't selling as fast as I can get them. What do you guys do with all the ore? Smelt or sell as is?

Sell as is is the fastest way to go. working realy good for me

Trying to get a private buyer would be your 1st choice, but if like me you have afew 1000 green gems laying about, cut em and vendor them, i think the cut green gems sell for 9g each, which is pretty good considering all they are doing is building up and taking up bank space, even uncut green gems sell to a vendor for 100g per stack of 20 i think. if you are in the botting game to make cash then time is money and get rid of stock asap.

Cool thanks I think i will try and find a private buyer. For the meantime I'm going to cut all the greens and I get and vendor them. Hang on to the blues for 4.1 and hopefully the start selling better then.

Don't vendor them. Would be a waste of thousands of gold. Make a new toon with another gbank

And just continue to sell them in the AH? Or do people buy mass amounts of green quality gems? I've only been able to find people wanting to buy herbs and volatiles in bulk so far.

I have most of the proffs so I sell at all evenly. If you don't have a private buyer this seems to be the least obvious way to go. <opinion> Doesn't look good posting 1000+ ore everyday. I sell some of it as ore, some as bars, prospect some of the ore, make cheap rings, disenchant the greens, and sell the blues. Then with the enchant mats, make some chant scrolls, sell some raw mats. Same with herbs, sell some raw, make pots/flasks, mill all into inferno ink.

Cool I did a lot of that but Ink seems to be dropping in price fast and the same with Flasks. I can get an easy 80g just for the 8 Lifes and then the herbs at least another 40 and it's hard for me to sell flask for more than 120 on my server. I think I will start selling ore and bars in the AH as well as level up an enchanter so I can DE stuff. Thanks for the tips. +Rep!

I'm rather lazy so I just AH all herbs and ores. I have 4 bank alts so no 1 toon is posting more than about 30 stacks a day.
I can't be done with micro management.

I always put stacks on the AH and if I still have some left I will prospect if possible and if thats not possible then smelt the ore and sell the bars on the AH or vender it

i use my ore to make green boots on my blacksmith.. then de the boots and sell the enchanting mats

I smelt all my ore and sell it, bars sell for more than ores on my server and they go as fast as I can put them up

everyone and their mother's cousin is vendoring cut uncommon gems, If the economy on your server has no demand for them above 10g just cut and vendor em. By DE and making scrolls imo your gold/hour goes way down and is not worth the trouble. I am basing this off the 7 servers i currently use. If your server's economy is drastically different for enchanting scrolls then you prolly have higher demand for uncut gems anyway so by default if your economy's value of an uncut gem is around 10g just vendor it.
