What to do when a GM wants to talk to you?

Any advice on this?

Was botting, felt asleep, came back and some guy had whispered me and prolly reported me cause now i got that thingy standing there a gm want to talk to me. Not sure if the GM saw me rly botting actually.
 
don't worry about it i was farming in Deepholm with GB2 and a GM wanted to talk to me so i did lol for almost an hour. Didn't stop botting once.
 
You stop botting for a while and talk to them as if it was just some annoying kid who felt like reporting you. They can very well watch you play, but they'd probably just ban you if they had real proof.

Get the fatboy-anti-spam addon, and set it to level 86 with the phrase "You must be on my friends list to chat with me"... Problem solved

Not too sure this would work.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't a separate chat window pop up with "A game master would like to talk with you" or something like that?
Either way, I have botted though a GM wanting to talk with me, and I haven't been banned yet.
 
Yeah well, i continued manually what i was botting, then went to SW, chat a bit with the people etc, then went AFK there. When i logged back in after a while, the window with "GM wants to chat with you" (or smthing) was gone.

Guess i'm flagged now but shit happens :p
 
I chat always with a GM while I'm botting :D
But I monitor it always so I think thats not the advice you're looking for.

It sucks tbh cause i was being rly carefull etc, monitored it most of the time. I just went to check something on TV in the other room and felt asleep.

Ooh well, had to happen one day. But like one said, if they had real proof, i would have been banned already which i'm not so. Just gonna lay low now for a while with that account.

Thing is, all my bot(accounts) are in the same guild, should i leave the guild with the other accounts or that doesnt matter rly?
 
I made a ticket about something some time ago, and i was botting while having it up.

I wasent at the pc when the Gm wrote to me and since i didnt answer him he just said that i appear to be busy and that he will send a mail instead.
 
You could always say your son/daughter was playing while you weren't home, and you don't let them talk to others on the game. I have many friends whose kids do this, and the TOS/EULA allows you to share your account with a minor child.

Yeah same her i only bot while watching a movie or something on my computer.
 
You should probably have some sort of chat addons that gives timestamps for whispers. I use, I think, prat and WIM, and it's quite helpful for when you leave the sound off by accident and get a gm whisper. You still get the Blizz window, but also a separate instant msg window with the time of the whisper, that way you know if you're way too late to do any goos responding.
