So now that we are waiting for a tripwire upgrade what are we looking at? A week, a month, two months?

Considering how aggressive blizzard is being right now, I'm hoping they will focus on security over expediting a release.

They updated the original TW announce today:

A new undetected build is almost ready and will be released shortly.

It didn't fail, the thing is that Blizzard pushed out new detection methods faster than Tripwire could keep up with. All detection methods by Blizz have been detected, sadly it wasn't instant so those who was online got caught.
HB detected the new detection method so we know those who got caught is going to get banned, it won't be a suprise when it comes.

Meaning the update failed to do what it was supposed to do .
They delayed the update a whole month and they said they wont release it untill they were sure everyone's accounts would be safe.
Now don't get me wrong, Im not hating on anyone

So what you are saying is exactly that, it did in fact fail.

Client protection failed
Tripwire failed.

Conclusion;
HB Failed.

HB is getting its ass kicked the same way Riftbuddy was right now.

This is BS since I hadn't used HB since 7.2 and still got banned. So yeah, it was detected long before the "upgrades"

Yes it was not safe, i had an inactive account what subs went off 2 months ago....at the end of august and it got banned too. So HB was detected at the summer too.... HB isnt safe, jsut bans come every 6 months.....or sometimesearlier or later.

My warrior was definetly not botted since way before latest patch so its not the update that failed. Also detection methods could have been shoved in by blizzard with out a patch.

Not likely, neither of my 5 testing accounts, which were heavily used prior 7.3 up to 28th of August got hit.
Only those 3, which I resubbed 2 weeks ago for 7.3's HB launch got hit - they were online for the first TW event on 10th and offline for the 2nd.
Are you sure, you have not used any kind of other 3rd party tools for WoW, including Tmorphers, CRs anything?

I'm sure i not used any program with an account what's sub went off at august 28...... and did not resub....but got ban. Yes probably whn it didnt have gametime....

I would bet that you were delay banned due to stacked player reports, or any other kind of random ban. But HB was definitely not detectable in the months of 7.2 patch - for one sole reason - Blizzard never will get away once detect Honorbuddy, no matter what! They may postpone it for a week or 10days, but will never let Honorbuddy operate, once they have detected us. Keep in mind, we still had ~8-9 days of HB being operational on full power. This would never happen if Blizz was on us back then.

The email said that accoutn got ban cus third party program and not report..... And just to be clear a lot other user reported they did not use the bot or wow....both at the tripwire events.... but they got ban. And now, there is the third tripwire...and who sued the bot got flagged probably cus the TW neede 15 hours to detect this new thing.
So when the TW neded 15 horus and now the users are flaged, how do you know blizzard only detected at the TW events? TW needed 15 horus now, maybe bliz detected faster the players and the TW doesnt even had time to switch on.
But nvm, i know cus the email say 1 of my account what used last time at the summer got ban cus third party program at the banwave, not cus reports etc. And not even perma ban or something jsut the tipical bot 6 month ban. Just like a lot other users here.
