I currently have...
1. 4 bots with 5 diablo 3 client running the edited D3Prefs
2. dual monitor setup 1440x900 and 1920x1080 resolution
3. 1 game on max settings either battlefield 3, defiance, crysis 3, guildwars 2,starcraft 2, dota 2, marvel online

My system spec...
Processor: Intel Core i7 3930K
Motherboard: Asus P9X79
Memory: Kingston Hyper X 1600mhz 4gb x 8 pcs = 32gb total
Video Card: Palit GTX 680 Jetstream 2gb/256bit ddr5 (OC Ed)
PSU: Thermaltake ToughPower XT 875W

Seems like my system is having a hard time on the gpu department since my fps on the games I play drops to 10 fps or less sometimes. I'm thinking of upgrading my rig, maybe buy 2 gtx titan or buy the new 4th gen cpus with gtx 700 series or something. I'm also planning on running 8 bots + 1 game that I play. So what PC setup is enough to run 8 bots and 1 game maxed out with 60 fps? Thank you

Just buy another PC for botting... not worth it to upgrade

Do you want to be able to run all of those bots and play a game at the same time? I've built a few computers, and it's not as complex as you think. People will always throw in their 2 cents about preferred brand but as long as it does its job and lasts it's fine. If you open task manager is it saying any of the resources are maxed out? I do not know that video card brand, but try to see if you can find a program that can tell GPU load.

Yes, I will be running them all at the same time. Currently running 4 bots + 4 d3 + another d3 + marvel online. Usually it's on 60 fps(marvel online), but when I enter a high graphic area or a populated area it drops to 20 or even 10. I played sc2 before too at max settings and if I get too many units the fps drops to 10-15. When they are all running my cpu usage is at 30-40%, memory usage around 25-35% but gpu usage around 50-60% but on some areas where my fps drops I can see that the gpu usage is at 80%. So is there any setup that I can play my games max settings atleast 50-60 fps while running my target of 8 bots?

That's a more complex desire. I'd like to agree that the GPU is probably where it's lacking. However even if you upgrade you're just going to be wearing out these parts faster, it might be a good idea to get a rather cheap computer just for botting.

There are many little things that may add up. First off id try to set the priority of the game you're playing to high in the task manager to make sure it gets the resources it needs. Secondly, while probably not a reason, if your disk speed is poor all of that hangup could add up. It wouldn't hurt to look at that VirtuMVP software that try's to virtualize some of the CPU to help the GPU out a little, and if you have a decent cooler overclocking well into the 4k's wouldn't hurt anything.

I am actually considering to just buy a separate rig for botting (desktop or laptop) but I got 3 concerns that kinda stops me from doing it:

1. not a lot space in my room
2. my room will get hotter
3. additional electricity cost from 2 PC running and more AC since the room is hotter

My disc space is good and I'm even using SSD. I don't want to overclock and I'm using a liquid cooler so the temps are just fine. I'm also thinking of buying the highest most expensive parts I can get and maybe 2 high end video cards like gtx titan but I'm not sure if it will satisfy my needs. Seems like no matter how fast your computer is, if your running multiple games then you'll expect a drop on fps. I know some of the people here runs 8-20 bots at a time and still play a game they want, I was hoping they can share their setup :D

botting eats cpu mostly, 1 gtx680 is more than enough

Two options:
buy pc to run 8 bots.
Have your current pc for games.

Or pay for upgrades that will cost as much as new pc but wont give the same performance

pretty much this.

better get a dedicated computer for botting. however, don't expect it to pay back anytime soon. will take 6-12 months i guess, not considering that prices are still falling.

And another problem is with the direct x which is not allowing u to play lot of games in same time because d3 or bot will pause or crash.

Thank you all for the replies. I guess I'll have to assemble a new rig dedicated for botting :D

Your computer CAN RUN 8 bots and one diablo for yourself.
I'm running 5 now in very similar hardware. and I can play whatever games I want in max settings.

I use ISBOXER to run the bots. Its all about configuration.

My specs are AMD FX8350, 16GB ram, 60GB ssd for 1 copy of diablo and other games (has enough room to run 5 bots) GTX 680.

And I've been thinking of getting 5 more bots in the future.

Well its not that smooth with 4 bots + 1 main diablo max settings or + 1 marvel online game or starcraft 2. Seems like my rig is choking on the GPU part since its only 2gb and im running 2 monitors and multiple games
