Lol I don't think ad3ddd really knows what hes talking about.
First off an 8 core AMD is going to be a damn good processor, I have the 8350 and I'm able to handle 3 diablos and 4 wow clients perfectly fine.
And if you're going for multi-gaming, then don't get an i5, oh my god why. No reason, its stupid, get the i7 and thank me later.
1600MHz only for RAM? Uhm, I'd suggest at least 1866 MHz, if not higher.
I think Serux has no clue what he is talking about.
First off, i am suggesting fx 8350 for 12 instances of d3 + DB; NOT for 3 or 4. Read carefully pls. Difference in price is significant, and well oced i5 (best available, forgot the exact name k37...) blows away 8core amd, especially for gaming. Also i am pretty sure intel cpus will handle different tasks while botting better. Let me give you an example. When i have 8 instances of d3 + db running on my fx 6300 and open Chrome to play FLASH, it will start lagging occasionally and won't play the video(especially HD) that well. If by comparison, i am using the same CPU as dedicated, it will run fine with more instances of d3(but i won't be able to use it for anything else beside that).
Then the memory- there is literally no difference between 1600 and 1866 rated sticks of RAM (provided they are the same, just the RATED frequency being different). Moreover, there is not difference between memory operating at 1600 and 1866 in terms of gaming.
Personally tested that on different mobos and cpus, some of the best DIMMs available. I got G.skill ripjaws X 1866 blue sticks and they work ABSOLUTELY the same as my buddy's Patroiot viper 1600 sticks. LITERALLY no difference whatsoever. Not to mention saying 1600 is worse than 1866 is retarded, because 1600 with lower, tighter timings will outperform 1866 with higher, looser timings in almost any situation, save for a bandwidth benchmark.
NOT to mention, that by having an AMD cpu you are not in the best position to talk about memory frequency, since amd only rates their cpus to be able to use UP TO 1866. Go higher? Why on earth would he buy a 2133 rated sticks for twice the price.. Did you even read the original post? He wants 12 + bots = 32 gb of ram(16 not enough, logical think is to get 32). Do you even know how much 32 GB of 1866/2133 ram costs? What is wrong with you people?
In conclusion, Serux, learn to read and stop
assuming. Have a nice evening
