What made you use Honor Buddy in the first place?

Just curious. So what drove you to make the decision to use Honor Buddy and could Blizzard have done any better to deter you from making this decision to sink into sweet temptations? If so what could Blizzard have done better?

Nope I'm missing several fingers due to a work accident so it's a little hard for me to keep up lol.

hide, its a blizzard employee...

should have tried this 6 years go, when it did matter.

to stay ot : this game is just 2 dumb'd down and keyboard smashing is so 2009

I'll be honest. I HATED botters at first. I found them unfair, lazy scumbags. I also thought like...why do you bother paying for this game if you don't play yourself? One day my partner installed HB on his computer, he got an illigal key somewhere so only like a few people could use it at the time. He did it to level up his Archeology (before they made it easier and all the UI improvement). So I leveled Archeology too by hand. But he just turned his bot on and sat back and watched movies in the meanwhile. Not only that, he also leveled it waaaay faster then I did. It pised me off so badly. I told him I found it unfair and it can get you banned.

Not even a day later I bought a HB key and was maxed Archeology the next day :D

It just seemed too much of a convenience to NOT do it.

I'm also a botter who dislikes botters ...lol
I've been only using it for fishing / archeology.
The fishing part i've been using cause it was taking me 1 hours to fish 5 lunkers by hand, with 1000+ skill in fishing (with lures and whatnot). It's ridiculous. 1hr for 5 fishes??!?!?
So i just HB to fish for me and went to tend to my garden =)
The archeology part i was botting because i think it's completely retarded to level/farm that without a flying mount. It's just ...insert obcene word...
Sometimes the next digsite would be right next to me, on another region, but since there's mountains in between them, i would have to run to the nearest FP... with a flying mount that would take 20secs... by foot/FP it takes 4min...

That's what made me bot.
But i do confess i strongly dislike ppl who bot arenas/raids/bg's, whatever...
Fishing/archeology is a mindless task that any1 can do it, provide they have the patience for it. Raiding/pvp'ing actually require some skill to play well.
At least i can say that i'm a banner botter that at least knows how to play my character. Many botters out there don't...
:/

week income.webp

this is what i was doing before i started botting. 90% of my sales were 100g gems.

then one day my supplier asked my why i didnt bot. i didnt know why, so he hooked me up.

Botted wow ever since the glider days, even used HB when it was just an addition to ppather to allow flying and gathering nodes in Nothrend. Naturally I just came here when glider got shut down.

I didn't want to pay for me game time. So I started to just create with 20k (that was the price of 30 day RAF GT costs) but after that 20k I was broke... and I wanted more gold.
and 500k later I didn't knew what to do with it, because I have already bought all mounts from the AH and all the best gear so I sold it and I liked the money and I kept doing it.
after that I bought me botting PC and bought 10 extra clients and then I had 20 clients intotal running. and the rest is history

Achievements. And partially having little time to keep up with the no-lifers, due to work.
No, not PVP nor high-end PVE.

I got my main permabanned for gold selling (abuse of economy ban, all appeals denied). While I was releveling a new account, it occurred to me that since I no longer had to care about getting banned, I might as well automate the process, which led me here. I was bored of WoW anyway after 6 years of semi-hardcore raiding, so it was a good excuse to quit too.

blizzard as to improve his game and classes instead focused hb...pvp is unbalanced, pve is boring, questing is boring when you have many alts....

I began botting due to the kiddies obviously. After their incessant crying and inability to understand that to excel takes effort and time, blizz began to cater and dumb down.

I sacrificed RL time to succeed in game but when it gets to the point that the new generation of entitled youngins were surpassing me while putting in 0 effort it was etched in stone. No way to keep up with something that doesn't sleep sprinkled with the cynisism and jadedness that came from making sacrifice while no one else had to.

Kinda like winning the lotto. I may have worked 6 12's and loved the fact that I had nice things, if I won the lotto my self respect wouldnt be enough to stop me from quitting my job and enjoying it.

I truly wish they never existed and blizzard didn't kill the genre. That was many years ago though. Haven't even pondered the ifs and whys in a looooong time.
