What just happened to whiptail?

Across multiple realms It's gone from 100-150g a stack to 50-70g a stack in two days, what gives??
All I've heard is spawn rate is now lower (shouldn't that increase the price?) and there's some rumour that burning embers are now a 33% chance from milling instead of 50%, if that's true though that will explain it, anyone know this for fact?

Or is this just me hanging around on a lot of weirdly shit realms? :p
 
I noticed Twillight Jasmine and Cinderbloom has dropped loads in price on my server on a day or two..
 
Seems standard on my servers too, all herb prices are dropping, some are just too low; Stormvine at about 30g per stack, Whiptail at 40g.

Makes me weep

Just checked ALL my realms and they are all the same. what gives???
Also gold prices are dropping like FUCK too, on EU and US, double murder lol
 
Not sure why, some of the price changes just aren't logical. On one of my servers, Elementium ore has increased to around 150g per stack, yet on another it's fallen to around 50g yet there's only a couple of pages of it too, the market isn't exactly flooded. Twilight Jasmine and Azshara's Veil are about the same most places I bot, but still they have dropped from around 180g per stack to just over 100.

All that said, I've not been properly concentrating on supply and demand for a while and it's only recent I've noticed. I'm hoping that the prices increase towards Wednesday and Thursday and then start to fall until Sunday/Monday when we start to go up again. Seems a logical theory in my head :D
 
Its simple, switch to a new market?? it takes you a day or two to get maxed out on your prof with HB/GB so if I were you i would use the tools you have and switch markets to take advantage. There is a need somewhere. Or you can just take the mass ammount of gold im sure you have gained and then start buying all the lower stacks and repost instantly for double the price... This will only work if you have a lot of cash. Just some options, hope the market improves for ya

Not possible running lot's of accounts, way too time consuming, but thanks for the advice, if I had 2-3 account's I definitely would.
 
There is no market on my server any more for some things. Elementium for example, just plain doesn't sell. There's barely any for sale, not even half a page worth and it still doesn't sell. I've taken to prospecting it all and selling the green gems rather than trying to sell the ore. It eats up time having another step but overall it's at least profitable. Herbs have crashed on my realm as well.
 
Im going strong on my realm, with average price of herbs at 150g per stack and average on mines 110g per stack, i can sell 60 stacks of each a day :)

Im on Eu if it helps :)

I was on a realm like that recently, transferred to it last month, incredible mat prices and good gold price's to boot, crashed within a month and is now one of the worst, funny how it can switch so fast. :(
 
Ye ;i I feel sorry for you, im getting 0,9 usd per k :p from chineese. Running 6bots right now ;p soon going 10 :)
 
Bump, 48g a stack from 200g 2 weeks ago on one realm, how is this possible LOL.

Gold prices dropping faster than a hookers knickers, not looking good at all.
 
Just sold a bunch of a whiptail at 68g per stack. Cinderbloom is 50g a stack, Twilight Jasmine 100g a stack =\
 
Odds are other botters on many servers putting up stuff for cheap. I've noticed a lot of prices reset on Tuesday. All auctions expire and first person to list sets the price for the week. Then people start undercutting and it can get pretty low. I bot to make gold for myself. I don't know why anyone would go to the trouble for how cheap gold is these days. I can't imagine the $/hr being very good unless you're super streamlined.
 
whiptail dropped from around 150 pre 4.06 to 80-100 now
jasmine 160-200 to 130
cinderbloom 75 to 35-40
veil went from 150-100

lifes stayed the same

but i discovered a new and impressive strategy!!!!
Launder the mats over the neutral AH to the opposite faction...were im getting 3x as much for lifes and almost double on all other herbs and ore!!!
 
just wait for 4.1 or the next big patch, if there is a new raid the demand will grow thus a higher price, and maybe epic gems? I have been keeping my Pyrite ore in stack for that.
 
Still going strong on my server 120g a stack for whiptail and twilight.
