Hey people

What ois the minimun req ram and cpu to run wow and HB?

I know thatblizzard said that you need 2g ram and 2core cpu
But an me virtual machine i run run wow an 1,2g ram and 2core cpu

around 1 gig of RAM per WoW.exe is sufficient. Running a VM setup myself, giving each VM 1 gb for the OS and stuff plus 1 gb per WoW.
Regarding the CPU, I don't really know. VMs get two virtual cores. With VMWare tools installed they are kinda smartly mapped with the host OSs scheduler, running an equal load on each host core.

Main bottleneck for me is the storage though, loading the game in multiple VMs simultaneously makes my HDD really sweat. VMWare seems to not be so cool about idling the VMs while waiting for IO, CPU usage is higher than normal for the VM process but that could also be a coincidence. Thinking about sharing a single wow installation via cifs from SSD or ramdisk, so it can get cached and stuff. Should be no problem for host-only virtual network I guess... gonna try this someday.

Another thing I noticed, the VMWare windows guest graphics driver seems chunky, sometimes blocks my host card usage to 100% until the driver dies, getting a message pop up in the VM(s) that it had to be restarted by Windows. May be a unfortunate combination of my kinda old card and the NVIDIA drivers or whatever.

But yes, 1gig and two cores is enough. ;)
