What happens to the cata mats when mop comes out ?

i have never been around when a new expansion comes out,
im just wondering what will happen to cata herbs and ores like cinder blooms and obsidium ore for example ?

will they still be needed ?
will they be worth anything ?

usually the old mats go up in price after a while because nobody is farming them, some mats in the expansions are almost as much or more than the mats being farmed by the many people... so I'd wait till the price is right which may take a few months.

check the price of frostwaeve and embersilk cloth
that's almost the same

but the differnt between them is that the embersilk will sell faster then the frostweave

Im just trying to figure out if i should bot myself a druid before mop or bot loads and loads of cinderblooms and obsidium before mop hits hoping they will still be worth something after mop hits
I don't plan to play mop when it comes out because i cant level by hand and if the bot won't be working straight away then i will take a break
