What exactly will be banned?

When Blizzard bans my botting char - what exactly will be banned?
- The single toon of this account?
- the whole D3-Account?
- the whole battle.net-account (incl. Starcraft and WoW)?

Double post (the other one is in the WoW forum), because I do not know, if bans are handled different in the games.

If other accounts in wow are linked and spotted as bots too, they will be banned too most of the times.

And I hear they also get in touch with other game companies to ban your accounts on TOR and GW2 as well.

I have WoW account and Diablo 3 account, in same battle.net account.. i got perm banned twice in WoW, and i could still play Diablo 3.. Then i got unbanned my WoW.. so its about the Game(CD-KEY) is getting banned, not the whole account..

Anyway, if you get ban in D3/WoW you would be able to buy a new cd-key and add it to the games

I heard they ban everything and find out where you live (rumor has it they do nasty things in your mailbox) and then tell your mother, and your boss, and Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy. So basically you are screwed for ever with everything.

I had 6 diablo accounts banned at once, including my main.

I've been gathering on wow accounts, two of them on the same bnet accounts as two of the banned diablo accounts.

Still no ban for any of my wow accounts.

Only your D3 licence is getting banned. Your WoW/SC/D2/SC2/WC3 licences are not in touch at all!
Your b.net balance stay untouched too. So you can buy new D3 licence on the same b.net account (if you dare to) and start playing/botting again

I won't bind another game to my account - I only did it because of the... hm... "Jahrespass" in german. Perhaps I will buy a new D3 account and put it on a new bnet account.

Omfg I bursted out in extreme laughter from this.

Btw I had my main account banned before.
What they ban is your CDKEY that you used to play whatever game. They do not ban any other game you play or have a CDKEY for. Since they do not have proof that you bot on any other game other than the one you botted on.

In my case: I got my diablo 3 banned. So that CDKEY is banned. On my bnet account where I look at diablo 3, it says: Account Status: Banned, Diablo III Auction House: Banned

However you can buy a new CDKEY for the same bnet account... but that's just stupid lol.
