What Exactly does "download pokemon in your area" do?

Seeing how the only answer I got from the chat support was it downloads pokemon in your area... duh... anyone know exactly what it does? I open bot I click that setting i push start bot.. now what exactly does that function do as I doubt it is downloading all pokemon around me into my pokedex.

So basically the my pokemon tab allows you to see what pokemon you have in your inventory and decide if you wanna evolve them or mass update their names via IV

So for now it just basically shows you some of the pokemon area you area on the map. Does that answer you question?

Update your version of pokefarmer. You're probably running an outdated version. Also if you want more specific help, post your logs in the support forum.
