Now that many previous users of the bot are having to resubscribe under the new model what do you think we can expect from the buddy team?

Yes some of the money will go to lawsuits, some for infrastructure, but what about HonorBuddy itself?

Echo has done a great job with the initial questing and we are still without a finished suramar profile. The community one is good but not complete, thankfully it seems that community dev has returned.

What about dungeon buddy? It still doesn't have all of the possible heroic dungeons in it for Legion and many of the old ones are still very buggy, and with the changes in 7.2 will old profiles need to be reworked, will they? Lets not talk about LFR.

What about the name sake of the bot itself? For farming honor. Doing battle grounds has been in a sorry state for a long time.

I would hate to think people are buying a year and we won't see a redoubling of efforts to try to bring more life back to HonorBuddy.

What makes you think any of the extra cash will go into development?? Its a sinking ship all the extra cash will just be used to plug the holes. I would expect the bot to steadily go downhill now. Once Blizzard see all the shit that this decision has created it wouldn't surprise me if they up their game and kick the devs while they are down. Or at least I hope that's what happens.

A banwave now or series of banwaves in quick succession, as have been seen before at the end of 2016, would indeed be another nail in the coffin.

It's botting. The future is never certain.

Right now it's the best product. Period.

Ride the wave, or go to the "free" places and sort through trash.

Nobody here knows for sure. The people that do won't tell you.

Also we know Bliz-ard are going to implement a feature to allow players to turn WOW gold into battle.net currency, via in game tokens or some other method. Once that arrives surely Bliz-ard are going to clamp down hard on botting.

Once the WOW gold to battle.net currency does get implemented, there would be many situations where botted accounts can exploit this. To name a couple;

Imagine a scenario where botters no longer only sell gold, instead they sell the battle.net accounts with a huge battle.net balance for a fraction of the price. People would buy these accounts on the grey/black market just so they could spend the battle.net balance on other blizzard games and services, mounts/skins/vanit items etc. even if they know the account may be "throw away" and banned.

The other scenario is where botted accounts no longer pay for any bliz-ard products at all, including WOW time. Its already quite easy to gather enough gold to cover in game tokens, imagine now if you build up a big enough battle.net balance you can purchase any future game release or service without ever actually spending any real money.
