what do you put in login/pass fields when running honorbuddy?

I have a forum username/password AND a key.

Running honorbuddy for the first time I'm presented with a "username type picture guy" and a padlock. What does this mean? What do i put in these fields? I have tried my username and forum password and username and key and neither work.

Apparently you just put your key in the username field and leave password field blank. Could this be any more cryptic? Why not just have one field and say "please enter key" or would that make too much sense?

i believe it was because they used to require username / password and some accounts still do.

yes, most users still have to sign in with a username and password, so thats why its still there.
