What bags do you have on your farmer

Got a farmer with herbing and mining, tried with 2 mining and 2 herbing bags, but this leaves the knapsack only for a hearthstone and gnomish army knife and extra pickups. The other slots fill quickly with the random gems that drop, I want to keep them for my JC.

Is it best to have 1 only mining and herbing bag and the rest general to catch the over flow ? ( I realise this will loose me about 16 slots) or just add the gems to loot filter and remeber to delete them when I am mining and questing by hand, since lootfilter is not character specific.

What does everyone else do ?

I used to split my bags between herb and mining bags (I dont remember the exact ratio but I didnt split them up evenly). Now I just farm one type of resource per gb so I dont split anything up anymore. For example one toon only picks herbs while the other one will just mine. It makes it alot easier. For my miner I just use 3 mammoth mining bags and 1 frostweave bag for gems.

Depends on how is the toon is doing with gathering and with the path being used.

For example, if he's making more ores than herbs, i get 2 mining bags + 2 frostweave bags.

If more herbs than ores, i get 2 mycha bags and 2 frostweave bags.

And so on :).

frostweaves generally. i have 1 or 2 herb & mining bags, but my farming stints rarely last long enought to fill 4 frostweaves.

Ever since they added mail runs and Guild Vault runs, i stopped caring about bags :)

Fair call, I tried the mail today, seemed to work fine. Would be nice to define what goes where though, different characters need different mats, pain mailing to one then remailing it to another, i think i saw a thread about this somewhere.

You can use BulkMail2. You can set up what character gets what mats. My dream is they will add a mode where it gets to the mailbox and just press send button in bulkmail2.
