i got banned 2years ago.

no 72hour ban no final warning etc. just a perm ban.

do you think if i appeal now they may let me have my original account back?

Nope, that account is gone forever.

I try this once a year on my original wow account that was banned 4 years ago. They've just started changing the status to resolved with no response now.

Your chances are extremely small that you'll get reinstated.
