they are the same company, im sure both have GM departments and both have the same head hancho boss guy setting a schedule of when to binge and purge accounts. as far as detection we've know that blizzard was up to something for some time in terms of what they are doing server side, but like d3 we have no idea exactly what it is or what can trigger it. in both cases normal people can, and have gotten caught so its not 100% fool proof for them.

I wasn't going to post this cause I didn't want to be the start of something stupid. The more I think about it though the more angry I get.

My thought process
If I sold a program that I knew could cause someone to lose something that belonged to them if the parent company detected it. Then I later get the feeling that the parent company is doing something on their end that may be designed at catching mine and other programs I would feel an OBLIGATION to let my customers know.

Obviously I don't know the extent of what they "knew" was going on but the statement leads me to believe they had an idea something was going on. I'm not here to blame BDevs for me losing my account or that a want a refund I took the risk I took and it was worth it I'll do it again. I just hope that next time they can provide us with some information about the things they notice Blizzard doing.

If Blizzard usually takes a shit at 6:00AM and today they took a shit at 6:10AM and the dev team realized this I would like to know. It's a single post on a forum I don't feel that is asking too much.

Thanks for reading, again I'm not trying to start drama just want to put it out there that I think it's better we know ahead of time if you guys think something is going on.

Thanks for the bot.

I didn't understand any part of your post.
It's probably because you're French...

He's simply stating that it looks like the DB-team knew something was up, but didn't tell us. Then we all got banned, either because DB got detected, or because the hacked db-version(s) did something that got us detected.

Either way, Hawker stated they like full disclosure. If they knew something was up, yet didn't tell us, they are not offering full disclosure at all.

And it's probably because you're from the Netherlands that you're being such a dick.

But at least I understood your post, thanks for clarifying things :)

Well with the amount of pressure the community has put on blizzard lately regarding bots, especially in PvP and gathering, you should be able to put two and two together and see that they're gonna have to do something drastic soon. If they *knew* something by other means than guesswork through following the official statements about botting then i can see your point, at least to some extent...But i'm not gonna blame them for not putting out warnings based on guesses and feelings thou, as you pointed out yourself it depends alot on how much exactly they really knew

edit: I see i was lurking in the DB forum, when i thought i was strolling around in the HB forum, so scratch what i said about pvp and gathering, but theres been plenty of bitching about bots there aswell ;)

I had a feeling something was coming down the pipeline for us botters. But I thought it would be after the New Years I planned to shut down Christmas Eve and x-fer gear. Then start back up with new accounts and let the old ones run a gold profile with crap gear.

It doesn't much matter I'm not mad at anyone about getting banned. Just slightly irritated that their is even a chance Bdev's weren't sharing concerns about detection. It kinda feels like what I would expect out of corporate America, not Germany.

People just don't want to take responsibility for their own botting and want to blame others.

dude, you bought a bot. its a 100% guarantee to get banned. the only thing we dont know is when. get over yourself

I agree that when you buy the bought you need to agree to a disclaimer that it is possible that your account would get banned, if that is already stated then this thread should be purged.

Guys lets not forget the real trouble ahead. This banwave damages nobody lets face it. Everyone that got banned made cash to back those accounts up and way more. I bet there were no more than 3-7 people that started botting week ago and got hit at inconvenient moment like this. The real problem is the future of db botting. I just hope we wont see another sweep like this one in a matter of week or two after the next update.

The worse case scenario would be like the former BuddyTeam Rift-Bot: Ryftomate. Not going to elaborate much on it, since it's no longer being developed, listed and sold.

I really want to trust Nesox and the rest of the dev team at db. If another wave hits week or two after the next db release they will lose 90% of their customers, not to mention losing all credibility. I hope they take their time to figure out the glitch before releasing anything to the public...

I was "that" guy. :(

My accounts all died.but I just want to know what kill them?
blizzard stepped up doing their server side pattern detection. we're not blizzard, we dont know what they do or what they are checking, we ARE sure its not the a detection from the demonbuddy client itself.

Exactly !!!!!!!!! Its something wrong here , and somesome here dont talk all truth to us ... I dont blame any of sides "us botters or DB team" ,,, but... tons of ppl get banned an noone know what rlly happned ... its bullshit, its not normal ban wave... First of all blizzard donr want to explain in mails what exactly happned , and for what is ban , 0 explainations + DB team even dont know how its possible they customers got punished like shits in just one day .. something stink here....

It should work same as Innova's Frost. I think, they were 1-st, who started checking ram and so on.

it does us no good to lie to you, bad press is bad press, if it was a software detection (AND ITS NOT) its just as bad as what the official response is. now like ive been saying they are doing something server side to detect people, however we are not sure what, so we shut everything down so we can investigate and figure out whats going on, and see if we can implement features to help save peoples accounts.

the whole "theres more going on" is not right, we have a lot of experience with world of warcraft and over the years, we've seen them move from using warden to combat bots, to more server side detection methods to catch people who leveling by grinding or people who use public profiles and farm nodes. there's nothing going on in the client to raise any flags, the main diffrence between wow and d3 is that d3 is a much smaller world and with that a lot more people would be caught as they have been by blizzard stepping up their efforts.
