I have 8 friends who purchased D3.
7 have already said F this game and are back installing and playing D2 and having fun.

I asked them to sum up their thoughts and overall this seems to be a common statement from them chatting.

overall this game was just a joke and NOT something that should have the Diablo name on it.
 
i pretty much agree, there wasn't nearly enough substance to the game.

Let's face it. Blizzard banked off the Diablo franchise prestige but underdelivered. I did like some aspects of the game, but I'm finding it rather disappointing. Yes, I know that Diablo 2 set the bar very high for hack n' slash RPG games when it was first released, but there's a certain standard that needs to be reached for a game to be deemed at least "good." Diablo 3 failed to pass that standard.
 
I had a bunch of friends who hated the game and quit... and they all gave me their accounts :cool:

Wud've quit this game a long time ago if it wasnt for db :)
 
I can't get interested long enough to get DB set up. My toon is still lvl 40
 
lol because of DB I'm still playing Diablo3 I don't really know why :) , If we our going to win in the case I bet blizzard will be happy again, because most of us for sure will buy another account and if we lost then were doomed. anyways, be positive and expect the unexpected :)

D3 is quickly becoming like WoW for me.

At least for WoW, 20 hours of a day consisted of gathering, and 4 hours of actual play-time (raiding).

For D3, it has turned into a 23 hours of botting + 1 hour of actual play-time consisting of 55 minutes on AH and 5 min in-game for ID'ing and salvaging manually.
 
well I was talking to 4 of them and all said they thought D3 would be a better D2 but instead D3 is just some joke and looks like it was made by a bunch of idiots who never played D2.
They just wanted a sale and I bet they made a small fortune. I can also see why they didn't try to make this a monthly account thing.
month 1 100,000... month 2 50,000... month 3 ....5 ROFL
 
I wouldn't be playing D3 if it weren't for DB, I'll level a character of each class to 60 and see if I have any interest left in the game when I have done that. On the upside my kids and I are playing D2 together now, lotsa fun.

Now where is the bot for D2 so I can whip my kids butts :)

d3 blows, theres 2 reasons why i even log on
1. DB, and making money from botting
2. still have the false hope that pvp might save this game :(
 
I maybe the only one here, but I like the game. However I don't play games without my friends and they don't like it to say the least ;)

Not really sure what the issue with the people is. The game is about item hunting and unfortunately the last patch increased the lootrate a tad too much and the difficulty is a bit low by now.

Restarted on a monk fueled by DB money ( spent just 10 mil on damage gear and 25 on mf gear ) and I feel ridiculously overpowered. So if I can be that strong with only 10 mil I don't understand what melees where whining about in the first place. Might be the game was too hard for them. I was fine with my DH all the time and never spammed the shit out of SS and went glass cannon, since I didn't want to purchase expensive gear with a bit tankiness. I am fine being that squishy, but that's me.

People fail horribly at games and just outright suck and then blame it on the game all the time anyway. I mean I can see it I play now and then with my customers, which pumped out upwards of 50 millions on gear nad they suck. Even when I tell em what pieces to get, they don't do it, regret it a day later and have horrible mistakes in their skill setups. I mean there were enough people out there showing how easy the game is with right item combination without being that costy and every class could do it, just the people nowadays... pathetic.

BLizzard assumed humans with common sense would play D3, when the reality is that monkeys are doing it. Dont get a monkey involved with any kind of complex problems, the outcome is gonna be a cry for a shitload of bananas first.
 
I play daily, for hours, farming RMAH items out of Act 3, it's far more efficient than Sark farming lol.

ye i know u replied that u ar still playing. the question asked by the OP was to share your thoughts on the game compared to diablo or atleast to what uve expected the game to be.


anways, yeah d3 is a let down atm. D2 had a bigger and better story and when playing it i felt less repetition then i do now.
I seriosuly get a headache when i think about collecting those zoltun kulle body parts again
or goign down the tower in act 3 to azmodan.
 
For me D2 was more "epic" game.
What i don't like about D3 is:
  • The way they did with an easy content (i beaten diablo on inferno on may 28th with wizzard no bug/exploit hp).
  • The feel that farming is useless. In D2 yeah it was boss farm but at least you could get some legendaries that were valuable.. now it's all about cleaing the whole fucking map and keep getting yellow items lvl 57 on act3/4 inferno.
  • When you loot a legendary it's not w00t !!! it's more like meh.

I'm gonna keep botting and waiting till they change classes and legendaries in future patches.
If the game keeps sucking at that point then we're fucked up, gg.
 
Not to imply D3 is the best thing the world has seen for ages or that it lives up to the hype BUT:

Whenever i read something about D2 being better all the arguments people bring sound like they never even played D2.

And to the OP: If they were still playing D2 when D3 came out, i doubt they will ever play another game :P
